K8.2 Active 8" Powered 2000 Watt Loudspeaker

I bought a pair of QSC K8.2s back in January because I wanted crystal-clear audio at a lower SPL than my ElectroVoice ZLX-15P. I played a gig last year on a pair of QSC K10.2s and I noticed a clarity on the high-end that wasn't present on my EV speaker or even my Bose headphones... I was playing the same tracks I had played at home, but they sounded different... quite a lot better, actually! I had the money to blow after getting a new job so I bought a pair of K8.2s for home, and also a QSC KS212C dual 12" cardoid subwoofer. It's a really punch sub! I wanted something that could 'hit you in the chest' though so I upgraded to a JBL VRX918SP 18" sub and now this system sounds suupppeerrrr tight. The K8.2s are okay as studio monitors I guess, but if you run them on their own without a sub, you should EQ the bass higher because they really lack in that regard. And talk about quality! True story: last Sunday a massive oak tree fell on my garage while I was standing in the doorway and would have killed me if I was 2 feet from where I was standing. I had my speakers set up inside. Well, the tree sliced right through the roof and landed directly on one of my K8.2 speakers. I snatched my other speakers out but could not remove this particular one, so I ordered another speaker to replace it (hence why I'm leaving this review now). After they removed the tree a week later, I found my speaker. The stand pole was bent a bit, but the speaker is in perfect condition except for a small scratch on the top handle. Wow!!! I don't need this new speaker so I am returning it, but I am even more impressed now by QSC quality than I was before. Highly recommend these speakers - with a subwoofer

QSC K8.2 Active 8" Powered 2000 Watt Loudspeaker -- Perfect for our Karaoke parties. The brand keeps up with the name and its awesome. One speaker is loud enough for my medium-sized family/ living area.

Fantastic combination of small footprint, light weight and POWERFUL output! I set two of these up with a subwoofer on a gig, and didn't realize I hadn't powered up my Ksub subwoofer until the second set! Very happy with these K8.2s.

Very compact and powerful. Decent amount of bass from this small box. Would buy again.

Need speakers for a medium to large club? Get a set of these, hang them up, set it and forget it. I have had a set of K12's in a ceiling for 10 years that have been subjected to the worst of the worst sound guys and they are still going strong. This speaker was one of 4 purchased for my favorite night club. After I installed them, the owner and i were listening to music and having a nice chat. he said that he didn't know it until that moment that this was exactly what his club needed.

These things are just the best you can buy for the money. Period.

Beast of a sound, this is a very professional quality sound speaker. Stand alone Karaoke + Guitar/keyboard + Aux-IN. I have used many speakers in the past but this one is just mind-blowing. With a single speaker I did a Christmas gig with around 60 people and it was sounding like a club. so yes the neighbors and their neighbors will complaint!!!!!

Bought this for our smaller events and works extremely well, it delivers a great and powerful sounds. Even though it's small still packs a punch.
