how is the force distribution measured along its length? Or does it simply give a single analog voltage reading?

I bought this last year and it actually measures resistance. When no force is applied, you will get a reading of 0, when there is a bend or a force it will be greater than 0! Works well with arduino, i’m sure it will work well with a pi!

Does this just measure bending force, or can you measure the force of flat pressure on it (ex standing on it)?

Both can be tested, and software is required.

will this work with an analog circuit? or only with Arduino type things?

It will work with anything if you have a software to analyze pwm signal from the sensor

Very sensitive and accurate

Very sensitive and accurate sensor. Perfect for home projects. The only thing is that you will need to solder pin to it if you want to use it for I/O devices like Arduino, Raspberry pi or Brean boards
