Calypso Basics by Reston Lloyd 6-Piece Microwave Cookware, Steamer and Storage Set, small (20502)

Great dishes for freezing leftovers for the week. I cook several meals in one day, and make my own "TV dinners" for my partner. He has ruined (melted) so many plastic freezer dishes I got disgusted and started looking for solutions. When these arrived I was concerned because they were a bit on the small side, but they are perfect for one meal. I use the larger one for "meat and potatoes" meals, the mid sized one for casserole meals, and the smaller for a side dish or just enough for a meal for me. I now own 5 sets - I had to get more when I discovered they were available in my ancient "Shadow Iris" pattern. Those are white, and even reheating tomato products has not discolored or marred the surface. They stand up to the "take it out of the freezer and nuke them 'till they're scalding" treatment, and the square shape fits well in the freezer. The only downside is that they don't stack well, but most people won't own 14 of these dishes! Compared to other microwave safe dishes on the market, these are the best value and highest quality.

The color of these containers is such a gorgeous juicy plum. Not bright or tacky, just very pretty. They go wonderfully with my grape themed kitchen, too. They are very well made and durable. It is not a set you will be throwing away in a year or two. I actually have another set of these in a different color (lime green) that I bought almost 5 years ago and that set still looks great. The little steamer vent is really nice for microwave cooking. You can turn it open or closed. The containers & lids do not warp and they hold up perfectly well in the dishwasher, even after years of use on the older set. The 3 sizes are perfect, wether you are storing or microwaving a little or alot. Overall great product.

Good Product to replace worn out old containers. They do not take up much room.

This cookware is made of a less-substantial plastic than the cookware it replaces. So far, I have been happy with the performance. I like the adjustable vent in the lid, although I haven't studied up on why I would use it. The base plastic has not melted yet, and hopefully will not. Due to the plum color, if there has been any discoloration, I can't see it.

We love these containers. They seal well and are leak proof when the knob is closed. We like that the lid and the container can both be put in the microwave (make sure to turn the knob so that the small hole is open in the top). We also like that they are dishwasher safe. Easy to use and wash. The size is perfect. We use them to take lunch to work. I use the smaller containers to take fruit in for lunch. Definitely recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: If you like the colors eggplant or aubergine, these are for you! If you don't like multiple closures on every side of storage containers, these are for you. Simple, functional and pretty.

These are great items for cooking and storing food. I've used the largest one to cook a rice dish in the microwave for over 20 minutes and it held up great to the heat and prolonged cooking time. The lid fits nicely and I like the little adjustable steam vent in the lid. I have washed it in the dishwasher and even though it would probably do fine in the bottom, I've only placed it in the top rack so far. If you have a color scheme, I recommend looking for this in your preferred choice. This is a pretty color and I'm happy with my choice.

I've used all three sizes since I received this microwave set. The lids have a vent that works efficiently when microwaving. Easy to clean. Good value.

Three useful sizes that are nice and sturdy so containers or lids won't warp when heated. All tuck into each other for easy storage so very happy that I bought 2 sets so I've enough containers while one set's in the dishwasher.
