Marvel Legends Series Star-Lord Electronic Helmet

It's an amazingly well detailed and feature rich prop piece for the price. No really at $99 it can't be beat. The sculpt is great. The paintwork is acceptable. The weathering feels a little to mass produced factory issue. If you are into that sort of thing you will want to redo or improve it yourself. For the real do it yourself type the helmet is a fantastic starting point for super detailing. But out of the box it is as or somewhat better than most costume or replica props that have been offered. At a fraction of the price. The fit is decent, although getting it adjusted is finicky, just as it is on all of these helmets. It's easy and intuitive to get on. The clamshell mechanism does the trick nicely. From the outside looking in it is stunning. Especially with the lights on. From the inside looking out? It's very very red. Ok truth is I see a lot of grumbling about vision through it. Here's the long and short of it. I have all of the recent Hasbro and Bandai adult prop helmets. The worst for being able to see out is Iron Man. (Tiny little eyeholes). Star Lord is nowhere near as bad as that. The Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren have better field of view, and if you really need to be able to see out get the Bandai Red Ranger helmet. In terms of overall quality I think StarLord runs a very close second behind Iron Man. Leaving off the weathering would have pushed it over the top. This is a great piece. One you will be thrilled to own, either for display, or for wearing in public. You might however wish to dress a friendly Golden Retriever up in a Russian space suit as a seeing eye space dog. Edit: Having had it a few more days, and finally getting to compare it to Guardians of teh Galaxy Vol 2, as that just released on video a few of my opinions have changed slightly. What I did not expect is that the weathering on this helmet is in fact a direct copy and perfect match to the weathering of the on screen prop. Every blemish and rub lines up to the on camera model. The weathering on the helmet isn't random. It's pulled from the digital models and printed directly on the helmet. Also this helmet is a match to the one used in Guardians 2. It's the darker graphite and bronze colors used in the second movie.

I had my doubts about this helmet given my experience with the Hasbro Star Wars Black Series helmets, but this thing is awesome! The details are incredible for this price point. The light up eyes are great, and actually provide decent visibility compared with other masks I’ve worn. Not to mention the built in Bluetooth speaker, which is actually decent. You can hear me rocking out to Katy Perry in the attached video. I added some black wash treatment to mine to add a bit more weathering. If you’re planning on cosplaying as Star Lord and don’t have $700 to drop on the EFX version (which doesn’t even light up), this is the next best thing.

I bought this helmet sight unseen (like a lot of other people here). The promotional photos looked dull, flat, and someone questionable. But I'm glad I made the plunge - this helmet is amazing for the price. I've been researching the official prop for months now, and I'd say this one is 85% there. At least as good as they could do with a plastic replica for $100. There are a few details missing (mainly paint job stuff), which would be easy to add yourself. The weathering is also kind of dull - mostly just silver "scratches" painted onto the surface and a few oddly placed "grease" stains. But I think I'll end up going over it with some watered down brown/black acrylic paints to give it a more grimy realistic look. But overall the details are all there on this helmet. They did a very good job making it look like it would cost twice as much. Looks is a 10/10. The lenses on mine also came with some weird filmy red substance like other people have mentioned. Made them look cloudy and dirty out of the box. I tried to clean it with a paper towel and I think it scratched the plastic. It also smeared a red residue on the paper towel, so it was definitely something on the lenses from the factory. I'll probably go back over them with some rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs. The mask fits my head, and is probably a tad too big to accommodate a one-size-fits-all mentality. But its not very comfortable. The padding inside is hard-ish rubber, would definitely not be comfortable for long periods of time. I'll probably have to line it with softer foam so that I can wear it longer. Also the eyes are fairly hard to see out of as others have mentioned. Its not impossible, but just not quite as good visibility as expected for a mask that has proper eye holes. The vision is very narrow, and of course tinted red. Visibility is a 6/10. Overall I'm glad I made the purchase. Who knows how long they'll make these (as they're already sold out) - and it will be nice to have one before the scalpers skyrocket the price. If you can get one for a good price, do it. Worth the money for sure.

What can I say about this starlord helmet??? It’s freakin amazing. I love that it has blue tooth so I can play some sweet toons. I cosplay as peter quill, aka starlord, so this is a good steal for 99 dollars. I’m so glad I got my helmet when I did, because it is near to impossible to buy this helmet without spending an arm and a leg, it’s 400 dollars now because of infinity war! Wait if you can until the price goes down, but I’m pretty sure it will only go up from here.

I was lucky enough to grab this when it was on sale around $50. The paint and sculpt are great, clean lines and a decent resemblance to the source material. I have seen plenty videos in which people replace the lenses. I didn't have much of an issue with mine, they seemed fine to me, but I think it all depends on your personal preference is they're difficult to see out of, or if you would rather they looked more movie accurate. I think the fit is my only real gripe with the helmet. Yeah, I've got a wide face and so it isn't necessarily that the helmet isn't a good fit for me, it's just not very comfortable. As others have stated, the batteries in the front behind the mouth vents, cause the weight to really pull down in the front. It can get painful after a while, the plastic interior really digs in with the weight so poorly distributed. Aesthetically, it's bulkier than what Chris Pratt is wearing in the movies. I'm certain that helmet was molded around his head and isn't hard plastic like this. But, it still looks great and would be suitable enough for cosplay or Halloween. I gave it four stars, despite it's faults, because it looks great displayed on its own and the Bluetooth feature just roped me in. While it requires batteries and they do weigh it down, the speakers are decent enough, the Bluetooth synced up easily, and it just adds some fun to the helmet that wasn't expected. My boys are autistic and my youngest has really grown fond of the soundtrack to both movies, so when I got to play them with the helmet, he was over the moon. Just remember to 'wake up' the helmet with the gold button when you're trying to sync your device.

Pros: -Looks incredible -Lights up -Bluetooth connection -Makes you feel like Star-Lord -Makes a cool sound when you turn on the lights Cons: -Still can't figure out how to connect it to my iPhone via Bluetooth -Red lenses are foggy, hoping I just need to clean them and they'll be clear -Kinda heavy, if I was going to wear this to a Con, I'd imagine I'd have to take breaks from it occasionally -My head's slightly too big for it (I guess that's a con for me)

Pros: Looks cool Seems like its decent quality for a mask Cons: Fits very poorly and uncomfortably. Regarding the fit and comfort, i have a large head only 7 3/4 hat size but apparently uncommonly wide (i've never been able to give the brim of a baseball cap any bend) as the helmets plastic pieces really dig into the sides of my head, and the sides get bowed out causing the back of the mask to not close, The behind the head strap works to keep all but the back flap in place alright when set to the largest setting. However, and I hadn't been self conscious about this till now but apparently I have no chin as far as the makers of this helmet are concerned because the chin strap due to the angle it goes at will not stay any where near my chin. Like if I make the strap short enough to not just dangle loose on my neck it l instead have it just slide off my chin or apparent lack there of (I totally thought I had a chin before this) and go up to sitting below my lower lip.... The hazards of making a one size product, enough people had said they had large heads and it fit alright and others with small heads had complained but apparently a wider than usual head will cause a lot of problems for this product. I assume I can return it even though I opened it to try it on because it really just digs in with those plastic pieces on the sides and being in pain for halloween doesn't really appeal to me.

初期ロットの評判が良かったのか長らく高値で販売されていましたが、再生産分？が何とか納得できる価格（それでも現地価格の倍ですが…）に落ち着いたので購入しました。これまでアイアンマン・アントマンのヘルメットを購入済みのうえでこの商品が頭ひとつ抜き出ているのは、スイッチのON/OFFで簡単にブルートゥース接続ができる点で、劇中でかかった楽曲を聞きながら装着すれば なりきり度MAXです。大人でもほとんどの方が装着できるクリアランスがあり、お勧めの逸品です。

Étant très fan des Gardiens de la galaxie nous sommes plus que satisfait ! Les lumières au niveau des yeux ont plusieurs niveaux de luminosité. Le bluetooth fonctionne très bien, parfait pour une bonne BO 😉

This is the best Marvel Legends item I own so far, well build, looks great, lights up with different levels and has a Bluetooth speaker built in. I spent part of my day roaming around the house streaming the guardians 2 soundtrack through it lol. The hammer is great, shield is mediocre and I have yet to buy the iron man mask. All in all, Star Lords helmet is awesome and you all should buy it.

Ich brauchte den Helm für ein Star Lord Cosplay ( Guardians of the Galaxy) und bin echt zufireden. Die lieferung erfolgte schnell dafür dass er aus dem Ausland kam). Der Helm an sich sieht euch schön aus und die Bluetooht Lautsprecher im Helm und die Leuchtfunktion sind bombe. Einziges Manko: Er ist etwas unangehem bein tragen, ich denke jedoch das lässt sich lösen mit etwas Zeit und rumgetsllte am Helm.
