Big heavy book! Very nice illustrations. They Mean COMPLETE!

I’m so happy with this book — I can’t stop smiling because it’s exactly what I was hoping for! The images are crystal clear and each part of the body is broken down in great detail. The price is unbelievably good, especially considering the quality. I’m really grateful to have found this book, since there are so many versions of Human Anatomy texts out there and it’s hard to find one that truly fits your learning style. I highly recommend it, especially for visual learners who understand best through imagery.

What an amazing book! Every part of the human body, every organ, every cell is covered with fabulous illustrations, many of them the latest computer-generated images in all their gory detail. It's amazing what your insides look like and interesting to read how they function, implicitly function, this big heavy book shows the lot. Great value for money over 500 pages for you to get lost in with medical curiosity. Much better than pouring over a computer screen as you can examine a book intimately. Computers are great but its always nice to have a good book. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed with The Complete Human Body: The Definitive Visual Guide. With full colour Hi res images on every page!

In describing this publication as the "definitive" visual guide the authors are not exaggerating! It is just that. The visualizations are stunning! The initial chapter on evolution is totally unnecessary in understanding the human anatomy, dealing as it does with theories and hypotheses. Why not stick with observable facts? This notwithstanding, this book is an absolute delight. Worth every penny!

Fantastisch!! Prachtig boek, prachtige illustraties, super informatief! Ik was bang voor de prijs dat het niet de diepte in zou gaan maar dat is zeker wel het geval! Dit boek is veel meer waard dan het kost en een aanrader voor iedereen met interesse in wat er binnen in ons huist en gebeurt :)

Das Buch gefällt mir sehr gut und ist, wie vieles von DK, vor allem grafisch sehr stark. Ich hab bewusst die Englische Ausgabe gekauft. Mit 23€ ein absolutes Schnäppchen, wenn man bedenkt, wie dick und gross das Buch ist. Da muss man schon eine sehr grosse Auflage haben, um alleine die Druckkosten wieder reinzuholen. Ich bin kein Mediziner, sondern habe mir das Buch als interessierter Laie gekauft. Ist jetzt nichts, was ich von A-Z lesen oder durcharbeiten würde, eher als Bildband, zum immer wieder Blättern. Toll finde ich auch, dass es sogar MRI-Bilder gibt, damit hätte ich nicht gerechnet. Viele Doppelseiten im Hochformat, wo man das Buch drehen muss. Man braucht schon etwas Platz, um es anzuschauen. Das Buch kam bei mir in einer zusätzlichen Plastikverpackung (recht gut geschützt). Trotzdem war der Umschlag und einige Seiten leider nicht in 100% perfekter Verfassung, sondern mit (sehr kleinen) Mängeln (leicht eingedrückt). Das meiste davon konnte ich aber wieder zurechtbiegen und reinigen. Amazon könnte beim Versenden solcher Bildbände noch etwas vorsichtiger sein. Aber in Anbetracht des sehr tiefen Preises belasse ich die Bewertung bei 5 Sternen.
