Great purchase decision after comparing many - and proven over time.
VERY GOOD looking watch at a nice price. Most reviews are so soon after purchase that they are first impressions. For watches, the true satisfaction will come from longer term performance...continued accuracy of time & date, bump tolerance, scratch resistance and life of pins/band. My feedback to date has pros easily outweighing cons. I was looking for an inexpensive watch with date indicator to use daily at home improvement store job instead of wearing my dress watch. I'm not expecting this watch to last decades like my quartz dress watch, but certainly hope to get a few years out of it as I did from my old Coleman daily wear watch. I like the contrast of my version (gold hands and black face). I agree with others that a slightly larger date indicator would be helpful but the white date window works OK probably aided by the contrast with black watch face. The 40mm size is a little bigger than I'd like but it is comfortable enough due to thin design which I also hope minimizes bumps/scrapes. The stem operation is not difficult or confusing for those of us used to owning a date watch. I am heeding though the instructions to avoid date resets (necessary for months not 31 days long) when hour hand is in specified range. The leather band is a little stiff at first, as are all such bands, but it forms to wrist quick enough. Leather bands are typically susceptible to wearing out when exposed to moisture/sweat so I wouldn't down rate my purchase based on lifetime of a band which I will be wearing daily during some physical activity in hot weather months. I'm very pleased with the purchase.Update as of 4November2018: Now after about 9 months of daily wear, the watch continues to perform well. No problems with date changes. No scratches. I switched to a black velcro strap to keep it extra secure during rugged activity which has worked very well. This has turned out to be a terrific purchase.Update as of 11July2020:Just bought another new one ($20 this time even cheaper than first one). After almost 2.5 years the watch was still keeping good time and face was in excellent condition however the strap pins would no longer stay in. The metal of the pin posts did not hold up under daily wear for over 2 years. Posts did not break off but wore down enough at pin holes such that pin kept disengaging. Better metal would be great to have it last a little longer but for such a low price I just bought another having been satisfied with fine performance for that length of time.Additional info per one Q&A question:Q. How long is battery life?A. No battery life estimate mentioned in packaging or description online but I can answer from my personal experience. First watch I bought was in Feb2018 and 2yrs 5mos later it was still running fine and keeping accurate time on the original batteries.Final update as of 29October2020:My July2020 watch continues to perform well. The adjustable metal mesh band has lasted very well, is comfortable and is snug and flat to wrist which helps avoid impacts. Although I don't wear my first Feb2018 watch anymore I have kept it to see how long the battery lasts. It is still keeping accurate time. Enough said so this will be my final update. I continue to consider these as two great purchase decisions.

Uses SR621SW or 364 battery
I bought the silver/blue model in August 2019, and the battery lasted until maybe a year ago? I finally got around to replacing the battery, so the photo is what was originally in it.It's lightweight, easy to read, and relatively quiet unless your tuned in to listening for it. I'm one of those that like the sound of a soft/quiet analog, so I'll often rest my hand near my ear just for that lolI was pretty disappointed to see that they discontinued the silver/blue tho.Its been up against quite a challenge, partially since I worked at a vets office (lots of big dogs jumping and higher risk of scratching) and also because I'd constantly bump it against stuff on accident when I still worked there. No obvious damage except for a little scuff by 10.It's amazing for $20, and definitely worth $14 for the battery replacement. For reference, most places will charge a minimum of $10-20 for a battery replacement. One place quoted $25. This is in the Mid-South USA. The biggest challenge, it seems, is getting the back on again, which requires a specific tool?

Looks great, feels great, runs great, and is cheap.
I would rate this as a 5/5, and maybe I'm being a bit unfair, but I can't in good conscience give it a 5/5 with how loud it is. This thing looks like a million bucks and feels very good. The leather is quite nice and I have no complaints in terms of the operation or price of the watch, which are both fantastic. My only caveat is that you will not fool anyone with this watch. The moment anyone hears it, they will immediately know it is an obvious cheap watch. Even still, I only paid $25 for it, so I don't really think it's realistic to expect to fool anyone with it and that's not why I bought the watch. The watch performs its main function, which is to tell time accurately and look nice. All I'm saying is that, if they can somehow find a way to silence it that would be great. I often have trouble sleeping, if it is near my head, and I do think it would be a lot more passible, without it. Even still, for the price, it's a steal, and I'd imagine, one of the best cheap watches on this site.

At first, good value watch but not so durable
I've had this watch for almost two years. When I first got it, it was my first dress watch and I loved it. I wanted all black watch and I've gotten numerous compliments from others. Over time, the watch strap began falling apart. I did not soak in water or anything. I bought a watch strap that costs almost 50% of this watch's price. What's bothersome is that I began noticing water mist inside the glass. I live in California and where I am is not that humid. I don't know how water got in. I tried drying it under sunlight, putting it in a jar full of dry rice to get rid of water. It comes and goes.Another point I want to mention is that the black paint will eventually come off and you will see bronze-color metal underneath. The glass is not so scratch-resistant and mine has visible scratches. Yes I understand I paid so little to use this watch. I love the design. I just wish the watch was a little more durable in general. Regarding the water inside of my watch, I just hope mine is defective and not all of suffer from this condition. I have the warranty card that came with my watch, and it has an email address. I am not sure if this is something I can contact their rep.
