Great for cast iron and carbon steel pans - does not melt, super thin to get under food
I love how flexible this spatula is and can scrape the pan as well. You just have to be careful because the spatula can separate from the handle at the spot weld points. They are easy to clean and you do not get melted plastic in your food or the spatula becomes degraded from high heat like other plastic spatulas. The thinness makes flipping eggs over easy and pancakes a breeze. The quality of OXO is great ( I am probably just a little too rough with ours).

best spatula for eggs
I had a spatula exactly like this for several years but the handle eventually broke off. (due to misuse by hubs) My local store no longer carried it. Was happy to see it on Amazon. This is perfect for eggs. It is very thin metal and slips right under the eggs for an easy flip or for manipulating an omelet fold. No other spatula will do. I gave it 5 stars overall because it is the beast breakfast spatula in the world. However, don't use it on your grill to flip big burgers- it isn't sturdy enough for that and will not withstand that type of use. (thus the 4 stars in those areas) I suggest getting some other beast of a spatula for those other jobs. And now that I have schooled my husband on using the proper tool for the job, I don't think we will have issues with this one breaking again.

3 in my home. 2 med 1 large
I really love these! Took some getting used to since if not used right tend to fold. Yet that is part of the perk of them! They fold when you need them too! Have you ever wanted to lift something from inside a skillet yet unable to get under it from getting too close to the edge? Though oh if it would just bend a little? Boom this does! I have both the medium and large sizes. I love these large for pancakes and on my grill! These are thin or sharp enough to even scrape up egg off the skillet if you weren’t patient enough to wait before cooking the egg in a stainless. (Heat then oil in them. Not oil then heat or you get messy stuck on food a lot.) Cleaning is not so easy if you have stuck on food. Again you need to get used to it. Scraping food off the direction that bends is fussy. But they are dishwasher safe so that is a plus in my book! The sizes are great and offer different uses per home. They are so functional that I had to buy a second of the medium size. To me they are a great value with how helpful they have been for my family.

Pancake Perfection
This spatula (and it's slightly larger brother) replaces my Oxo SteeL spatula for pancakes and eggs. I'm pretty new in the kitchen so I'm just learning what works for me and what doesn't. The SteeL product line is nice. I don't have a bad thing to say about them. In particular the SteeL spatula is pretty heavy duty and well built. The problem is the blade is pretty thick which means I bulldoze pancakes and eggs and make a bit of a mess with the SteeL spatula. I can't remember how I found this one - ATK maybe? But after reading the reviews here I purchased it and this morning gave it a try. The blade feels kind of flimsy and is very thin. It bends easily and if you are too rough with it I believe it would permanently crease without much effort. However, for flipping pancakes and eggs it is perfect! It slides under the pancakes with no bulldozing and after the flip the pancake looks perfect. If I'm flipping hamburgers I'll use the SteeL spatula but for delicate breakfast foods like eggs and pancakes the Good Grips Flexible Spatula the right tool for the job. I'll be copying this post to my review of the larger version as it is essentially the same product with a slightly larger blade (bigger pancakes!).

Garbage in four months
Got it in April and dead in August. I thought oxo was a decent brand. The spot welds on this are garbage within the first month one popped off, so I started taking it easier on it which I wasn’t doing much to begin with flipping pancakes and eggs and by August they all come off. The quality of this product is garbage. Yes some people have had some good luck with theirs good for them, but I would say 90% of these are probably just garbage and cheaply made and way overpriced.

Flipping Great Turner!
Sadly, I needed to replace a very flexible spring steel turner that had age-hardened and cracked. I use cast iron, while others in the family use non-stick, and I needed two different turners. I looked for them at various places, and was very disapointed at the selection: all were too thick and not at all flexible. Amazon to the rescue! They had the OXO Good Grips listed as a "large flexible turner". I bought the stainless version for the cast iron pans, and a silicone over stainless version for the non stick. The stainless version is fantastic. First, it is large enough to flip large pancakes without tearing them. Second, it is very thin and springy. Third, the blade is very genty curved in a manner that causes it to be stiff when it is needed. Oh, and fourth, the handle, as on all OXO products, is, well, just right. How do they do that? When I first held it in my hand, I thought the blade would be too large for flipping a fried egg. Not so. It took only a minute or so to get the hang of using it, and I have not broken a yolk since beginning its use. It may be hard to find this model, but I highly recommend holding out for it if you use cast-iron pans or non-treated steel cookie sheets. There simply isn't a better, thinner, or more flexible turner that I have found, and I looked a lot of places. OXO Good Grips Large Silicone Flexible Turner The second model, the silicone covered stainless turner, is also great if you have non-stick. It is more "mid-size" than the larger model I just described. The entire blade is covered in a smoky-colored silicone sleeve that has nicely tapered edges and is very strongly attached. I find the nylon versions too thick, not flexible enough, and hard enough that they can damage the coating on non-stick pans (even high qualtiy ones) if the nylon blade approaches the pan at the wrong "scraping" angle. So give yourself or someone you know who cooks a wonderful and inexpensive present they are certain to use and depend upon for years. Buy one of these turners!

Not durable
This spatula is great while it lasts. Good flexibility to use on cast iron for eggs mostly, but my go-to for anything where a thin spatula would help. But I’ve had two break at the weld in the course of a year. It is not durable.

Right for the job
This spatula is amazing! Wish I could have seen it sooner. It's so flexible and thin to get underneath an egg with ease. Perfect tool for the job.

Flexible stainless works great
My favourite flipper for eggs and fish. Feels gentle on the pan and easily slips under soft eggs. After a few years my first one failed at the spot welds, but I really used it a lot. They’re not a lifetime heirloom tool, but it’s a working tool. Recommended

Ottimo prodotto

These are fansastic
Not for use with non-stick unless you are very careful, but for omelettes, burgers, steaks, pancakes these Oxo turners are the best. Have both the medium and the large.
