Some barely make it through one piece of tile! This one has done several for me - porcelain at that! - and it works as well as I could expect. Be careful, the design of this cutter makes it prone to 'traveling'. Had tried carbide tips and it was slow. This was much faster. Couple of tips. Keep a spray bottle of water to cool down the bit as you work. When starting put it at a slight angle until there is a rough spot. Then go flat.
