Way better than the dial gauge
I finally had a chance to use it. Considering that this is a digital gauge, I was quite happy with the price. I had been using an analog dial gauge, but this is vastly easier to use.

The first one had issues.
The first unit had issues. The seller had a replacement unit to my door in two days and it's working fine. I took away one star because it is a little sensitive when you try to zero it and it doesn't have replacable tips. Other than that it's perfect! It didn't take me very long to get spoiled. I will never go back to a non digital gague. This gague has a big easy to read readout and reads to 1 ten thousands. Also for you metric guys it has a conversion button that switches it to read millmeters.

easy to use
easy to use, the one inch stroke was nice, the quality was easy to see, and a good value for money.

not suitable for modifications
I bought this gauge to modify, but it does not use the standard layout. The main plunger rod, which I intended to replace, is not removable, because the sensor is built around it and apparently glued in place. I will need to buy a different model that uses a coupling rod to interface with the sensor, as is customary. Also, two of the four screws that hold the plunger bridge in place were stripped, and would have required drilling to remove.

Great Precision
I used this indicator to adjust the print surface of my 3d printer and was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend this tool.

Way too sensitive
Works well however it is way too sensitive. Basically impossible to press the zero button without the measurement jumping all around the place
