We put in a scoop of rice and fill the water up to the line and just wait a bit. Presto! We have fresh jasmine rice! We have also made rice and then taken to a friends house. Just make it and wait for it to go into keep warm mode- when we get to the destination we push the keep warm button and it stays hot and is ready to eat.
