Its kind of like having NS10s really flat monitors in front of you except even better sounding. Crystal clear, mid forward sound signature. These do not have the "incredible bass and high end" sound signature that comes with consumer high quality headphones (Bose, Beats, etc). However, they still sound VERY good and if you mix on these and make your mix sound good, it will translate excelent to other listening devices. Buy these if you want to mix, edit, master your music or content without an acoustically treated room and studio speakers. Note: the headband is a little bit fatiguing after a few hours. Im bald though so maybe thats not an issue for everyone.

The Neumann NDH 30 headphones deliver outstanding sound quality with exceptional transparency and a clean, highly detailed presentation. The neutral tuning may take some time to get used to, especially if you’re accustomed to headphones with boosted bass or treble, but they provide an accurate and natural listening experience that is well worth the adjustment. The build quality is excellent, with sturdy construction and comfortable materials that make them easy to wear during extended listening sessions. My headphones arrived on time and were factory sealed, which was a nice bonus. If you’ve never used open-back headphones before, I’d recommend trying a pair first to see if you enjoy their room-like soundstage. They offer a much more open and natural presentation than closed-back designs, though that also means they leak sound and provide very little isolation. Overall, the Neumann NDH 30 is a solid pair of headphones. If you’re looking for honest, transparent sound and premium build quality, they’re an excellent choice.

Hay que hacer la distinción de que no son audífonos para “disfrutar”, para eso mejor unos Hifiman, Meze, Focal. Son una herramienta de trabajo que no perdona errores, se vuelven sumamente aparentes y es exactamente lo que se espera de ellos. Para producción, mezcla y mastering, reduje mis opciones después de mucha investigación a tres opciones: Neumann NDH30, Beyer 1990 pro, Sennheiser HD650/660s. Todos dentro de un rango de precio similar. Tuve oportunidad de probar todos, y cada uno ofrece ciertas fortalezas, pero los Newman siempre fueron los mejores o segundos mejores en diferentes categorías. Los factores decisivos para mi fueron: El detalle en los medios, muy natural, en comparación, los Beyer se escuchan “metálicos” y los Sennheiser se escuchan “plásticos”. Puede ser que el material de construcción influya en la percepción de sonido, es algo subjetivo y personal. La imagen estéreo es más centrada y adecuada para mi gusto. Con imágenes demasiado amplias como la de los Beyer, terminas mezclando un poco más “Mono” porque se exagera este efecto. Los agudos no están exagerados como en los Beyer 1990 pro, de hecho con los Newman apago el plugin Sound Id porque realmente no se requiere “balancearlos”, contrario a los Sennheiser, que requieren algo de EQ para que sean usables para fines de mezcla o mastering. Los ultra graves no están artificialmente acentuados como en los Beyer o HD660, esto resulta en menor interferencia en la fase y mejor respuesta en las frecuencias de 100 a 350 hz. First things first. Your right earcup is the one with the cable attached to it. Not many people know this or even bothered looking at the indicators but yeah... Just a heads up xD These things look beautiful! The silver ano is reallllly great and then that polished edge is chef's kiss. They feel incredibly well built and I haven't experienced any creaking when I swivel the cups or stretch them out when I put it on my head. Comfort is a toss up. Pads are comfy albeit I have relatively small ears and my ears don't rub against the drivers so it's got some depth to it. Downside for me is that the padding on the top is too thin for me head and I get a hotspot about 30 minutes of wear and readjust them around to relieve it. I am willing to buy something that will help add more comfort to it but I do know that some argue why spend so much on something if it's not perfect. Well nothing is ever perfect from an objective standpoint xP Sound signature based on what I hear is essentially: - Treble that doesn't bite--nearly sounding dull but still has lots of detail - Midrange that is I think is neutral and doesn't sound forward nor lacking - And a little bit of extra kick in bass Powering these with the FiiO K9 Pro ESS, at high gain at 12 o' clock with the provided cable with FLAC files. About 1 o' clock for something like Spotify or content on the web. Listening to music and consuming content with the Neumann NDH30s, it's anti-climatic but I can only summarize it as: everything sounds right to me. The soundstage isn't large but isn't in my head either like some of the Sennheiser's. The space is just enough distance and the instruments and vocals are placed juuuuust right. Everything sounds natural and not out-of-place. I would note that poorly mastered music will still sound poor. But I still have a fun time with these. Imaging is spectacular I can locate where sounds are and just how close or far it is. But yeah I do not have a single complaint for how these sound. Everything blends so well together it is pretty magical for my experience. It's a 5/5* for me since I am willing to pay for something like a ZMF Crescent Snap to help alleviate the hotspot I get all the time. But a 4/5* would be understandable from an objective view. I have multiple of flavours of headphones in my collection and yet I still pick these. It's sooooo easy for me to get lost into the music for hours and hours. They are really something special to me :D
