**Q: Can the wall plate vertical brackets (that the lifting mechanism attaches to) be moved off center?**
A: The MM700 lifting arm has to mount in the center of the wall plate.  It can not be mounted off center.

A: Hello,

This depends on the thickness of the wood paneling.  Ideally, if the panels are wood and there is drywall behind them, then they're likely not thick enough for an install.  The MM700 is designed to be mounted to studs.
