Size: 70 * 138 cm. Colour: White with mica shimmer. Weight: 289 g Type: Sized Xuan Paper Materials: 龙须草 "Dragon beard grass" latin name Eulaliopsis binata, known in English as Chinese alpine rush, spring water. Suitable for Gongbi Painting 工笔画. Finish: the paper is sized and the absorption rate is low. Mica Powders are added in the recipe for the shimmering effect. Handmade with traditional recipe. Price is for one pack of 10 plus size 70 * 138 cm sheets. This pack of paper is handmade at the ancient Xuan Paper workshop featured in Xuan paper making - a Unesco intangible heritage. For more information about Xuan paper types and usage see Chinese Xuan 1,000 year old Truth paper. These papers are 熟宣 Shu Xuan sized or cooked Xuan paper made with Eulaliopsis binata called in Chinese 龙须草 "Dragon beard grass" also known as Chinese alpine rush. They have some added Mica to create the Shimmer effect and they are deliberately not as absorbent as the unsized raw Xuan tree bark paper to facilitate different styles of painting.
