My suspicion is that the battery was at the end of its life, and after opening it up I couldn’t find any gross failures like a failed solder or loose component on the PCBA. Long story short, it’s a great light, the two-way clip is perfect for clipping on to a hat, and it’s an amazing size and brightness for an EDC. Sometimes I wish it was magnetic. Though, the spec table says it uses 2 AA cells which is silly because the whole flashlight is barely bigger than 1 AA. The only part that unscrews is the head which only unscrews enough to expose the USB-C charging port. If anything else unscrews it would take more force than I am willing to give. **Q: Will this actually stay in turbo mode for - full 2.8 minutes ?** A: I just tested mine it stays turbo about 2.5min then steps down a bit was at 3.20 and it only dropped a tad maybe 40/50lumens. I don’t think it’s 450 like advertised. I have a microstream usb and it’s brighter then that but I’d say 300-350 probably. Still very light and didn’t get that hot on turbo for 3+ min. You betcha. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfectly adequate for EDC *by E***D on January 14, 2026* I have had this flashlight for almost two years and it is the perfect EDC light. Far too many want a 1,000 lumens, why? Why do they think they need that much light? Why do you need the extra bulk? Answer: you don't. If it's dark and you need light your eyes are adapted to the dark and using a bright light does teo things, First: your eyes have to adjust to the bright light which takes longer than adjusting to a lower lumen, and when you turn it off it takes longer for you to regain "night eyes". Second: if you worry about giving away your position, the brighter the light the further the light travels [to the naked eye]. All in all this is a great light, rechargeable and the charge lasts for a long time. The lock feature is also a plus so you do not turn it on and draing the battery in your pocket or bag. I use this light for EDC, backcountry, and security, and I have never needed more. Do I have larger, more powerful lights for specific purposes? Yes, many more expensive options.
