Seller did a great job marking the photos with the correct screw count and gap between the intake ports.Once I removed the old one I noticed the part number marked on the plastic and used that part number to match the correct bypass valve.installation took just about 5 minutes and that is because I was very careful with removing the retaining clips as this part does not come with clips or O-rings.Great product although a bit pricey.Original lasted 14 years outside (in a shaded area) in South Florida, so we will see how reliable this replacement part is. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/441710896-kenmore-7278434-water-softener-bypass-valve](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/441710896-kenmore-7278434-water-softener-bypass-valve) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
