My nose is usually the first area to become oily or start separating, and this keeps everything intact without requiring layers of setting spray. I apply a light amount, concentrating mostly around my nose, pores, and T-zone. It seems to mesh with the foundation rather than sitting visibly on top of it. The finish is softly matte and polished, but it still looks like skin—not dry, chalky, or excessively powdered. It also gives my base a little extra coverage and makes the overall finish look smoother. The biggest compliment is that people actually notice my makeup when I wear this combination and tell me how beautiful my skin looks. It improves the wear of lighter serum foundations without taking away their natural finish. A light hand is best because it is a foundation powder rather than a completely translucent setting powder, but used correctly, the result is gorgeous. **Q: Is this really Bare Escentuals? This doesn't go on or look the same as my last jar that I purchased somewhere else, very disappointed**
A: I have bought bare escentuals for years.  Bought one jar from an unknown seller and it was fake. Brushed it on and right away it looked like clown makeup...absolutely terrible...so buyer beware !!!

**Q: Is this this size I buy in store**
A: Same size, but NOT the same product. This is a knock off. I was so disappointed when I bought and tried this. Just go to the real store so you know you are getting the real stuff!

**Q: IS IT AN ORIGINAL bareMinerals' PRODUCT?**
A: This is NOT an original product! The coverage is very poor. I couldn't make it through half the container before needing to purchase an original from a store. I would definitely not recommend this product!

**Q: Is this authentic?**
A: It's definitely not authentic, they take used containers, put labels on them and they're not even the same color . When placed next to the real product the difference is terribly obvious.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the matte powder but the shades differ from the original

I started using bare minerals after a tiktok video that impressed me. I started out with the 02 fair ivory original. The shade matched perfectly and was light weight, covered my redness but gave my skin a natural look instead of a heavy masked look which I didn't want. I'm 41 and have mature skin so less looks better on me. The only thing was at work towards the end of my shift the bare minerals would wear off and look shinny or oily from sweating. So I decided to try the bare minerals powder matte. I love this powder. It has done wonders and does seem to last through my whole shift keeping the shine down. However, the first time I purchased the matte, I bought the same shade I used in the original, 02 fair ivory. It was too dark and looked kinda yellow on my face. Amazon did let me return it so I went a shade lighter and got 01 fair, matte. It seems to match closer to the 02 fair ivory original. I did add a couple pictures so you can kinda see the difference in the shades from just looking.
