Stahls Illustrated Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Absolutely great book! Well written and illustrated. Easy to use and follow. Well worth the price!

Great pictures and concise descriptions and definitions/explanations in order to fully understand what parts of the brain are involved in each of the ADHD symptoms (impulsivity, distractibility, lack of attention, etc). I would suggest this book for psychiatrists like me, who don't necesarily see lots of patients with ADHD in order to explain them whenever they ask questions about what could be the mechanisms for their symptoms.

As all Stahl's books the information is well organized, and has good illustrations for visual learners. A must have for every psychiatrist.

This book presents a concise, understandable synopsis of the literature concerning the neurophysiology of ADHD (as we currently understand it) and the drugs currently employed in its treatment. My only complaint is that the price is too high for such a slim volume.

Dr. Stahl has a magical method for explaining the neurocognitive processes for difficult concepts to students & patients. My patients are visual and appreciate the images. I can use the sections with medications to guide the options and rationales for choice. Helpful to my adult and pediatric patients. Amazon as always, provides timely, efficient services.
