Celestron – Dew Heater Ring
I bought this Dew Heater ring for my older Celestron C9.25 XLT (non fastar compatible OTA) The product came well packaged and arrived quickly. The instructions were adequate, and if you need a little more help, there are several videos on YouTube. To be honest installation was simply. I simply pointed the OTA to Zenith (straight up), removed the screws carefully (without the included protective piece of paper), slightly flexed the original ring to help remove it, and the reverses the installation process aligning the Dew Heater Ring plugs at the 6'oclock position. This allowed me to run the power cable out between the Celestron Dew Shield cutout, and alongside/parallel to the Celestron losmandy dovetail bar and back to my SVbony power hub mounted on the top of the OTA opposite to the finderscope. I run the heater ring with another SVbony power cable with in-line adjustments (low-med-high-off) and it works perfectly in our Pacific Northwest. I've had the Dew Heater ring for a little over 6 months, and its functioned perfectly, and I like the tidy look and simplicity of the system. I will be buying another ring for my C11 EdgeHD.
