SMOOTH HAMMER.
I HAVE BEEN WANTING ONE OF THESE. GOOD TOOL- WELL MADE. EVERYTHING I EXPECTED,- FOR HAMMERING DOWN FOLDS, SEAMS, STITCHING, GLUING , ETC. GOOD WEIGHT, AND HEAD SIZES , FOR THESE TASKS. I WILL USE THIS JUST FOR THESE "LEATHER" TASKS AND WILL _NOT USE_ ON- PRICKING IRONS , PUNCHES ETC. AS. I APPRECIATE THE "SMOOTH" "FACES" OF THIS HAMMER. CHEERS:)

If you hand stitch your leather work
So many people have recently taken up leather working since Covid. Many are new to the craft and have not mastered all the little things that take your work from OK to "wow look at this". Hand stitching is one of the best ways to make your work shine, with different thread sizes and colors you can add that extra "awesome" without having to change anything else. Finishing up your threadwork by tapping the lace down into the stitching groove gives a smoother feel and keeps the threads from over abrasion. This hammer has a very slight convex on one of the heads and the other is dead flat. These options work well when using different leathers, on thinner more firm leather you may need the flat head, so you don't create dimples. On thicker, softer leather like Bison, I prefer the convex head. Is this an Al Stoleman (the Godfather of leatherwork) hammer, absolutely not, does it do what I need it to, most definitely. It is priced just right for anyone to try, if you don't like, put it in the garage for someone else to use.

Very good for the price and convenience of prime delivery
Seems good, a bit heavier than I wanted, but I was in a pinch and couldn't wait 3-4 weeks due to deadline. Also, it's a decent finish, falls short of a "mirror" but I'll polish it up more.

It works well.
Not sure if I bought a war hammer, or something that's just good for leatherwork, but it certainly works well on my leather working bits. Might be the only hammer I'll ever need for tapping.

Great hammer for leatherwork
Truly love this hammer for workin leather. The surfaces of the hammer are very smooth and leave no marks on the leather as long as you’re doing your dang job and holdin it right. I had to get a new one once my grandson “borrowed” my old one and dinged up the surfaces on metal. I just chuckled, and got me a new one. He means more to me than any danged old hammer by a long shot. Although this one is kept up outta his reach now.
