While the pot says it is microwave safe, I have always heated water in my teakettle. I think the pot would get too hot and be difficult to handle. I would recommend not putting it in the microwave.

Can I use this on top of the stove?

No. This tea-for-one was never intended to be used on the stovetop. I wouldn't recommend the microwave either, but you are less likely to damage it there.

Beautiful spoon rest. Perfect size & the colors are vibrant. It seems to be shipping issues were solved, at least on my shipment. It came directly from Linux and very well packaged as you can see from the pics. As in triple bubble wraps plus the air pacs.10 stars for the shipping and 10 stars for the spoon rest.
