Croydex Teak D Shape Soft Close Toilet Seat, Flexi-Fix Hinges (Levico)

I have been looking for a replacement toilet seat to replace my cheap white, broken plastic seat supplied by a prominent uk bathroom company. this new seat filled all my requirements and looks stunning. A good choice for those looking for looks and value for money.

I bought this for my Mum, we didn't get to fit it as the bathroom was being renovated we decided to keep the toilet as it wasn't old and felt was wasteful but the loo seat was unsalvageable, so while that was being done we had to wait and eventually fitted the day AFTER the return date, unfortunately we found that the click/button mechanism was broken and it did not stay attached to the brackets. I contacted Croydex and to their credit, after a photo and email back and forth they replaced the item and sent another one within a week. Very happy, works perfectly and my Mum is very happy. In terms of quality it's great, fab colour, feels really sturdy and I'm sure the one we received first was a rogue seat! Thank you for your care and excellent customer service.

Product is really nice looking and sturdy. Saw some complaints about small size but fits well for my husband and I who have large bums! Only issue I have, and not sure if my top fix toilets are abnormal in sizing, but the thread is far too long for a top fix toilet so I was unable to use it and had to source my own. Something to bear in mind when purchasing. One size doesn't fit all for the thread across bottom fix vs top fix.

It is mdf covered by vinyl. The vinyl itself it’s not very nice, does not resemble wood at all. It is also very heavy, which I suspect might damage the hinges quickly.

Even though we’re big at home and the hole in the seat is in the smaller side, it’s very comfy and solid. The most interesting thing is that the cold feeling when seating first thing in the morning it’s not there! Which is one of the things I hate most, so a total recommendation from me

Fine. Overcomplicated method to fit the seat. Apparently it makes it easier to fit, but was much fiddly compared to regular seats. Not as comfortable as a regular seat, as it it thinner as slopes weirdly. The soft close is quite stiff, not always closing. Unfortunately there aren’t many options for wooden D-shaped toilet seats, so we are limited to this one. Looks nice, but not brilliantly designed.

I was super impressed with the ease of fitting of this seat, especially the clever "collapsible standoffs" that hold the glued pads off the surface until you are ready to commit. The antibacterial coating is just a marketing gimmick IMHO, but I cannot fault the design or manufacture of the product.

Whilst the seat looks really nice and it works well to begin with, our soft close stopped soft closing after about 8 months. I contacted croydex directly about this and they sent me a replacement free of charge. I thought this was really good customer service and to be fair to them it is! Problem is though, the replacement only lasted about 6 months as well and again the soft close stopped soft closing. Its just a poor quality product that doesn't last.

Ich wollte den Sitz aufgrund der ja doch teilweise relativ schlechten Bewertungen eigentlich nicht bestellen, habe aber keine Alternative zu einer D-Form im Holz-Look gefunden, weder online, noch im Baumarkt. Darum habe ich die Bestellung gewagt und gebe gerne Feedback zu meinem ersten Eindruck für andere Unentschlossene. Der Sitz ist heute, im Oktober 2025, gekommen und ich habe ihn sofort installiert. BISHER bin ich sehr zufrieden. Keine Produktionsfehler wie von anderen Käufern beschrieben, Installation relativ simpel (Anleitung nur in Englisch), schöner Look, Lieferung 2 Tage früher als angekündigt, Soft-Close funktioniert. Wenn aber, wie in anderen Rezensionen beschrieben, in den nächsten Wochen oder Monaten die Soft-Close-Automatik bereits kaputt geht, werde ich hier sofort ein Update geben. Solange also kein Update kommt, ist noch alles in Ordnung. Bis dahin 5 Sterne von mir.

Non è fatta di vero legno. Deludente. Tasselli inadeguati. Non tengono la frizione. Da sostituire.

Quello che si vede sul sito è di un colore completamente differente da quello che viene spedito. Suggerisco di trovare un fotografo con uma macchina fotografica con una buona qualità
