Ho comprato questa CPU per aggiornare il mio gaming rig, con il quale gioco su un monitor a 165hz a 1440p. Il rig, su cui è installata AsRock B350, RX7900XT, 32GB DDR4, montava una Ryzen 5 1600, e lo utilizzo per giocare a Fortnite (sia in streaming che non). Come vedete, ad esclusione di motherboard e CPU, ho aggiornato i componenti al top di gamma. Pensavo che il mio utilizzo fosse perlopiù GPU-bound e che la mia vecchia CPU fosse sufficiente, ma mi sbagliavo di grosso. L'upgrade ad una 5800X3D è stato assolutamente determinante e, mentre prima oscillavo tra i 90 ed i 120 FPS (con drops anche sotto i 60), ora sono fisso come un chiodo a 165 (che è la velocità massima impostata: probabilmente potrebbe anche andare oltre, ma non mi serve). Il fatto che con soli 300€ si possa dare un boost così importante ad una motherboard vecchia di 7 anni (!) è fenomenale, e qualcosa di mai visto nella storia dell'hardware da gaming. Il commitment di AMD al supporto di questo socket ha dell'incredibile, e senz'altro mi ha fidelizzato come cliente per il futuro. Alcune note importanti: 1 Coi settings di fabbrica, questa CPU sotto stress colpirà la temperatura massima (90c) immediatamente, anche se dissipata a dovere (compito svolto egregiamente anche da un Thermalright PS120SE da 40€: non buttate i vostri soldi in soluzioni più dispendiose). Questo si traduce in performance inferiori, dato il costante thermal throttling. La soluzione è quella di undervoltare la CPU. Se non avete tempo da perdere, impostate "-30" nel curve optimizer, PPT a 100, TDC a 70 ed EDC a 100 (tutti settings che trovate nelle impostazioni avanzate nel BIOS). Se volete perderci più tempo, cercate su YouTube "Ryzen 7000 & 5000 Precision Boost Overdrive 2 Guide", video di 27 minuti con lo spiegone iper-dettagliato sul funzionamento della CPU e come ottimizarlo. 2 Ryzen Master non servirà quasi più a niente, se non a darvi informazioni molto importanti. Se volete installare la nuova versione, disinstallare quella vecchia non è sufficiente, ma dovete anche rimuovere delle keys su regedit. Dopo aver disinstallato normalmente, aprite regedit, cercate "AMDRyzenMasterDriver" e cancellate le keys con questo nome, anche se seguite dal numero versione. Riavviate, e solo ora installate la nuova versione di Ryzen Master. 3 Come accenato, non buttate via 100€ (o più) per dissipare il calore. La CPU va in thermal throttling a causa della configurazione di default troppo aggressiva, indipendentemente da cosa ci montate. Le soluzioni Thermalright sono virtualmente identiche a quelle di Noctua, ma a metà prezzo (o anche meno). Anche gli AIO a liquido hanno performance identiche: soldi buttati.

Pepino de procesador... el mas alto de su generación con arquitectura de la siguiente, y a día de hoy a muy muy buen precio... tenia mi RTX3080 que me hacia cuello de botella con el anterior procesador (Ryzen 7 2700) ya que era bastante bajito la verdad, en cuanto le puse este con la misma placa base (solo tuve que actualizar drivers), fue una maravilla... como tener otro PC y otra gráfica. Aparte de la potencia que da el procesador, el que la gráfica trabajara al tope, hizo que mi visor VR se convirtiera en otro... pudiendo usar simuladores a un rendimiento que nunca antes me había dado, tanto gráficamente como en rendimiento (fps). Lo único es que mi antiguo disipador con doble ventilador ya no me servia, ya que no enfría lo suficiente este micro, cogí una refrigeración liquida de buena marca con 3 ventiladores a buen precio, y mano de santo.
