The New Cooking School Cookbook: Advanced Fundamentals

I love this cookbook. Bought it for a gift this year.

I poured thru this book looking for things I needed. Although there are lots of great ideas, there are many left unsaid.I returned the book for that reason plus it’s so heavy it’s hard to haul around and place in my cookbook stand.

This is an expensive book, but it is wonderful. Full of comprehensive information that is organized well and presented attractively. I really can't think of any way to improve upon the book itself.That said, the way this was packaged resulted in me receiving a damaged book. It came in a box without any plastic wrapping or any kind of padding inside the box to keep the book from being slung around inside the box, and it showed - bent corner and the spine is loose. Really disappointing treatment of an expensive item.
