These pumps are built so that you can rebuild them easily, so they come apart easily, and they just push into the bearings and there's no grooves in the shaft to set its position exactly. The pump has to be set with its center inside the housing so it doesn't touch the casting. This is my first time using one of these pumps, so it took me a while to get it to spin freely. However, I think all I needed to do was tap the shaft with a mallet. There is one annoying thing about this pump, and that is that it uses a 15/16" shaft instead of just using a 1" shaft. The price on here was much cheaper than anywhere else and the shipping was quick. I haven't gotten a chance to test the pump properly, but I'm confident it should work fine. Would buy from this seller again.
