2 Pack Soil Tester, 3-in-1 Plant Moisture Meter Light & PH Tester

I really like this soil meter because it is very easy to use and doesn't require batteries. I use it to check the moisture and pH levels of my plants' soil, and it helps me know when they need water without having to guess. It is also practical for use with both indoor plants and those in the garden. Considering the price, I find it a very useful tool for anyone who has several plants. Highly recommended.

A waste of money! They do not work for PH at all, nor even the light testing on either one. It barely registered and water testing. If one didn’t work, I would have thought just it was defective but neither one worked. Very disappointed, a waste of money!!

We've had some problems with some large jade plants where the surface of the leaves cracks and turns brown. We originally thought this was because the plant wasn’t being watered enough. The exact opposite was true. After consulting with someone who knows about these things, she pointed out that, while the top of the soil was totally dry, a few inches down, it was not. So she suggested getting these soil testers. Basically you push them into the soil far enough down and it tells you very simply if the soil is wet or dry. It also tells you what the pH of the soil is <7 acid, >7 alkali. Don’t find that as useful as the moisture but perhaps when we get a better handle on growing these plants. It also has a light meter, which I don’t think is all that useful. I mean, you can just see how much light a plant is getting, right? I guess it might be helpful for testing the general light levels of, say, a part of a room away from the window and checking if that light levels is what a plant needs. But for the moment, the moisture meter is what is going to save our jade plants.

Ive been using for my indoor plant because I was overwatering. Its doing alot better now that I can get an accurate reading on the soil.

It's just okay; I would not recommend it to friends. It seems pretty cheap and I'm not very confident about the readings I get; it does not seem very accurate. I will be buying a different meter as I am not happy with this one.
