Well designed, robust, sturdy, strong & reliable
I'm chuffed with this box. At Christmas I heavily decorate my home with lights. Christmas '21 I had five seperate DriBox' s out the front for lots and lots of lights. I've tested this and I could say it's far superior to a Dribox. But it is double in price. But I'm happy with that as I think it's worth it. It is extremely robust and solid. It's completely watertight. The rubber gaskets are removable but fit in the slots securely. They envelope the cable through it to form a tight seal.ive cmgot different guages of cable too, it even manages my thickest cable. Unlike the DriBox the cable clamps do not come out, which is much more convenient and these hold the cables in place very securely. So when you're setting it up everything stays in place and you don't have to fight with all the cables whilst you put the lid on. With regards to the lid I love how the four sides are secured. The clips are strong and I'm confident they'll last years and years. The lid goes on really easily. I like how the lid is shaped to allow water run off. The four capsules supplied are not quite big enough for my set up but I can see they're perfectly watertight and robust too.

Well designed and plenty of outlets
The overall construction is firm, but easily distorted. Too early to say about waterproofing, but the seals look good. There are a series of strengthening ribs on the inside that intrude quite a bit and means that despite the outer size, the interior is smaller than you expect. That aside, the enclosure and included cable joint casings are pretty good value. I like the fact that it has a catch on all four sides instead of just one. The lid comes off completely, which also allows better internal access.

Very well made
I have this wired up to my fish pond. Absolutely perfect. Been there a while and so far has been amazing. Tackles the weather no problem at all.

Hinges are weak and it is too expensive
This review is for the RESTMO Outdoor Electrical Box (12.5 x 8.5 x 5 inch), Extra Large Waterproof Plug Box with 4 Small Weatherproof Extension Cord Cover, Ideal to Protect Extension Lead, Power Strip, Timer Outlet, Black (Black) £29.99 at the time of review. The main box is large, but I have a few 4 socket extension leads which won’t fit into the box. These ones all have a piece at the entry point of the cable where you can either unscrew the plate to detach/replace the cable, or it holds the electronics for surge protection etc. If your extension is a simple 4 socket or under box with nothing fancy, then it should fit. The plastic is a bit more robust than the extension cord covers, but not by much and I am not overly impressed by the hinges which are simply formed by bending the plastic. You need to be careful when inserting cables and leads as the waterproofing grommets are not fixed in position and do move. I noticed that when I closed it once, a small gap had appeared at the side of a grommet, so I had to reposition it to make it a better seal. I found the plastic clips on the extension cords covers to be very thin and brittle – they are simply formed by bending the plastic over to make the hinge. Really cheap. I also had nothing that would fit in these at all, so I don’t really know what use they are. I think the 4 extension cords covers are pretty useless (for me at least), and I think these bump the price up more than the main box is really worth. The plastic isn’t that strong and I have doubts over the continual use of the hinges which will weaken over time. All in all then, 3 stars for this outdoor electrical box. If you want frequent access to any cables inside it, then this box makes it easy. If you want a more permanent external box, then you can buy much better quality ones for around 1/3 of the price.

Good But Overpriced
This waterproof box arrived in a sturdy cardboard box. The box contains: • The large waterproof box. • 4 x small waterproof boxes. • Double sided adhesive tape. • 10 x ziplock cable ties. • Documentation. The box is sturdy and has fold down latches on all four sides. It is easily large enough to hold a 4 or 6 way extension socket and any transformers or timers plugged into it. The cable entry points are protected by soft rubber grommets that have a large outer seal and four inner seals to prevent water ingress when compressed onto the cable. Each cable entry point has a cable grip and two lugs to make sure the grommets are located properly when the lid is closed. The smaller boxes have the same arrangement but with only one cable entry point at each end. Some other reviewers have said that the smaller boxes are of no use but I disagree. They are too small to take a UK 3 pin trailing socket and plug but are ideal for the sort of 2 pin mains connector that is often found on garden equipment (see picture). They are also useful for low power connections. At Christmas I will be using these to house temporary 12V connections using Wago connectors. Before I trust this box with mains electricity I decided to test it. I put the hose head on shower and left it sprinkling onto the top of the box for an hour (I had a few off cuts of cable in the entry points). When I opened the box it was bone dry, so I’m confident it will stand up to being outside in the rain. I haven’t had this box for long enough to comment on its long term performance and durability, but I’ll update this review if there’s anything to report. This box does its job well but you can find a similar item at a DIY warehouse for only £9 more that includes a 6m 4-gang extension lead, 24-hour timer and RCD adaptor, so I feel that this box is overpriced and for that I’m knocking off one star.

Well made, waterproof and practical
Not cheap but you do get a good quality strong waterproof box which is big enough for a number of connections. It is easy to use. The clasps at the side are good and strong. I tested it with a hose and it did stay dry within. Ideal for the garden. The 4 extension chord covers are solid, easy to use and do stay dry within. The closing clasps on these do not feel that strong. This will do the job. It will keep leads dry. It is waterproof. It is great for the garden or yard or balcony. Practical and useful.

Good quality, sturdy!
Perfect for what I needed. The box is secure aswell as the smaller ones. And seemingly water tight. I did however find it difficult to open the smaller ones but this purely could be down to a user error! Durable and well made. Very good quality for the price

Large, Versatile, Waterproof
Review for RESTMO Outdoor Electrical Box (12.5 x 8.5 x 5 inch), Extra Large Waterproof Plug Box with 4 Small Weatherproof Extension Cord Cover, Ideal to Protect Extension Lead, Power Strip, Timer Outlet, Black I needed a large waterproof electric junction box out in the garden that would be waterproof and also large enough to take multiple connections I was planning to make. The box is provided with a kit of attachments to allow you to build something very specific for your needs. The box provides waterproof enclosure using the supplied grommets and can be secured firmly using the latches on the sides, however hole for addition of padlock to secure the box would have been nice. Not being an electrician by trade, i am reasonably technical to be able to use this safely, if unsure seek advice from a professional. Plenty of inlets and outlets as well as good amount of space inside to allow a versatile junction box to do many different applications. My box is simply resting on the ground, however there are options to secure this to a wall if needed. Overall sturdy enough, good sized and well priced.
