Very gradual reduction of gray, which is great. For the first month I didn't think it was working. Have to use it every day (missing occasionally) to get ride of most of the gray. Looks the grayest after a haircut, but gray is almost completely gone by the time it grows out 3 weeks or so. Itchy scalp sometimes--mostly in winter when my skin is dry anyway. Combing with a comb after applying seems to improve results.

Grecian Formula is not like a hair dye. It restores the natural color of your hair without messy dyes and the user never having roots. I highly recommend this product to anyone whose hair is turning gray.

Over the years I've tried several hair coloring products and this one works best for me. My hair was almost black, but it has grayed (and thinned) in recent years, but not uniformly. some is almost white, other still almost black. This never gets the white black, but makes my hair look quite even overall. And at least, no allergic reactions to it so far.

Recently Grey has been appearing in my hair at an alarming rate. So I'm on my second bottle of grecian Formula. Workds good but you have to use it every day until you get your hair back to where you want it and then a couple times a week as maintenance to keep it there. If your grey is getting out of control give grecian formula a shot.

Works great but now in smaller size

Yes, I have used this product for a number of years and find it suits my needs very well.

After using this product for two years seemingly with some results, I noticed that my hair became thinner and thinner to the point where now I have bald patches. I am over 50, so some hair loss would be expected, but recently I seem to lose hair rapidly. I had been using this solution a few times a week and although it has a very strong smell, I kept using it routinely to cover the gray hair. As I was reading more and more about this product, I started to realize that the acetate lead component is very toxic and it's most likely causing hair loss as well as being a possible carcinogenic. I decided to see a dermatologist to find out what's going on with my hair loss. His opinion was that the lead toxicity could be the main reason. A friend of mine cautioned me about the smell too, saying why try to look younger when no one wants to be near you? I worked closely with many people all day, I wonder if they've noticed the smell? Reluctantly, I have decided to stop using this product 6 months ago and although my hair is gray, it has come back to life and it grows again. It was too much of a sacrifice that eventually didn't deliver much of the expected results, but it turned out to be very damaging. Even though society these days expects you to look young at any age, it's probably better to look healthy than look like you're trying desperately to look younger.

The formula has changed. It's a good product but it does come out of your hair when you sweat and doesn't stay steadfast like it used to.

Bad

The two bottles ordered looked the same as in the past, however; the new bottle does not show the yellowish material that was in suspension and supposed to be shaken before use. Without this material the product does not work as advertised. Suggest sending me two additional bottles like the product I have been using for many years.
