Nach 4–5 verschiedenen Gehäusen von anderen Herstellern kann ich ehrlich sagen: Die Hülle von eXtremeRate ist die erste, die qualitativ wirklich ans Original herankommt. Verarbeitung, Passform und Materialgefühl sind auf einem ganz anderen Level – hier klappert nichts, die Tasten sitzen sauber, und das Gehäuse wirkt stabil und hochwertig. Besonders positiv: Die Hülle ist direkt IPS-Ready, also ideal, wenn man seinen Game Boy Advance SP aufrüsten will. Auch optisch sieht alles richtig gut aus – das Schwarz ist matt, nicht billig glänzend, und die Buttons haben einen angenehmen Druckpunkt. Natürlich ist keine Konsole oder Platine dabei – das sollte klar sein – aber wer einen Shell-Swap plant oder einen GBA SP restaurieren will, ist mit diesem Set definitiv besser bedient als mit vielen günstigeren Alternativen.
