D-Line Half Round Cord Hider, Patented Cable Cover, Hide TV Wall Mount Wires, Raceway for Cords, Decorative Wire Covers, Paintable, Adhesive Cable Concealer - 2X 1.18in W x 0.59in H x 39in L - Beige

This works well to hide cords against cedar walls.

I love these. They are easy to install. They are easy to use. They open and close easily. they stay closed. Most importantly, they keep the cords neat and out of little kitties gnawing capability. Just brought some more to use on my son's desk for his new computer. I have not tried painting them because the black ones are perfect for the places they are going but I feel they should take paint as easily as any other plastic - probably need a couple of coats but if you want them to blend in - I think it will work. I used a PVC pipe cutter to cut them in appropriate lengths. Seemed to work well. The ones on my desk have been installed for a couple of years and nobody has fallen off.

Exactly as described worked perfectly
