Feels pretty effective, don’t use it on open skin(like stated on the bottle-it’ll burn but I didn’t see it cause a scar) I used it kind of inconsistently and it still helped exfoliate well. It didn’t make my skin peel and it doesn’t dry and peel off. Consistency of the solution is slightly thicker than a serum. Helped brighten my skin a little, I would buy it again bc I think it was worth the money

I use this chemical exfoliant twice a week to slough off dead skin cells on my face and get that natural glow. I have been using this product by Ordinary for approximately two years and I notice a difference in the feel of my skin when I don't use it on a weekly basis. Yes, after cleansing your face it burns a little that is the sloughing off phase of the dead layers of skin or sun damaged areas. It is gooey to touch and a little cold. There is not much of a scent and it is red in color and once you apply it soaks right into your skin. The recommended time to leave on your skin is about 10 minutes but I leave it on until it's completely dry. Then once you rinse it off; you will notice a glow.

Wow, this stuff is magical. I've used all kinds of acids and layers of moisturizers over the years and always had tret flakes around my mouth / nose overnight. This keeps them at bay for days and leaves my skin smooth between applications. I've been using tret for over 10 years, so my skin is pretty durable. Start slow if you're gonna give this a try! I personally apply twice a week (Sunday & Wednesday) for about 5-6 minutes. I didn't see any difference between a 5-ish minute application vs the max 10 minutes, so I just do 5 minutes to be gentler on the skin and make my life easier. Also, your skin needs to be bone dry. Like, just wiping off water with a towel after a shower won't cut it. Let your skin air dry for at least 20 minutes before you attempt to apply this. If you're a long time tret user and you deal with persistent flaking that won't budge, give this a go! Just be careful, as with anything. If your skin is sensitive or your don't use actives, I would not use this - try something gentler.

This little thing is my holy grail. My skin is extremely acne-prone and could generally be considered 'combination' (oily in the summer, super dry in the winter). My typical routine is The Ordinary glycolic acid toner, Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum, The Ordinary niacinamide 10% / zinc 1%, occasionally The Ordinary salicyic acid 2% during breakouts, and a good moisturizer (changes seasonally). This has been my daily routine for about 3 years, so my skin is accustomed to direct acids. This peeling solution stings a little bit for the first minute or so, and then doesn't feel like anything at all. Helps significantly with breakouts, acne scars, brightness, and skin texture. If you dermaplane, wait a day or two before you use this mask! From experience, if you dermaplane and use this mask afterward on the same day, it will sting/hurt and it will look like you have yourself a full-face chemical burn for a little while after you wash it off. Scent isn't strong but also isn't great (smells chemical-y). I use this 1-2x per week, follow with my typical routine, and one bottle lasts about 4-5 months! A little goes a long way.

Every person who’s into self skincare should have this on their shelf. Easy to use, it’s a medium consistency (be careful around eyes, nose/mouth corners), it’s blood red , which makes it very good to see application. My daughter uses it, a male friend uses it, I use. It is a quality, affordable product by a company who has many outstanding products. Use sunscreen ALWAYS but especially after using this. I am in late 50’s, sun damage, and my facial skin has improved from using this, I get asked what do you use on your skin??? Tried and true product!

This is a MUST HAVE for aging skin. I'm in my mid-30s and this is my first experience with an exfoliating peel and I am floored. I use it once a week and it definitely stings for the first 30 seconds, but after that it calms down. My skin is so much brighter and healthier looking. I'd recommend only using 1x weekly, and maybe starting with 5-6 minutes for the first use before bumping up to 10 minutes on the second use onwards.

I am pairing this product alongside the Ordinary package for acne prone skin. There is no dryness, itchiness, peeling happening whatsoever. The combination with the Ordinary acne prone products has left my skin feeling soft and has helped my acne inflammation go down.

So yes i could see the difference in first go..not that all my black pimple spots are gone but i had one active pimple which was quite large in size. In single application of this peel..it dried out completely. And when i woke up in the morning was completely shrunk . So it actually works on active pimples and if you urgently want to get rid of pimple. About acne marks i cannot comment right now but I feel it will work on them as well with use

I was first thinking is it a fake as I had a product before and it was bit different. But I found out they just changed the formula a bit, it has different smell now. When I checked the box and bottle, everything is ok and seems genuine. And most importantly it works as should.
