If this is not under a vent that can really pull, you better be outside. We used it in our enclosed patio, with open windows, still ended up totally smoky. Pretty sure everything might have a coating of grease now. As far as some of the other reviews, not sure if they followed instructions or not, but worked flawlessly. I do have the most powerful Iwatani burner so was turned way down to almost the simmer.
