1. I wanted a bedroom alarm clock with nice night lighting that my senior eyes could see without glasses. 2. I wanted it to be easy to set. 3. I wanted an Atomic auto clock that would reset for for power outages. 4. I wanted an alarm that would set for Daylight Savings. This little clock does it all!!!!

Have only had this clock for a few days but so far it's great. I was startled when I plugged it in right out of the box and it displayed the correct time! I was so pleased I didn't read the instructions, just put it in place ..... the alarm went off at 7 a.m. the next morning! Guess I should have read the instructions and learned what that little symbol was! Don't know if it was preset or if I accidently set it while handling. No worries - great little clock so far.UPDATE: This clock started losing time about a month after I bought it. A minute at a time - and initially this didn't bother me because it was just a couple minutes off. However, the error range continued to increase which meant I had to manually reset the clock. There hadn't been any power outages or other reasons for this happening. Now, this is a decent little clock if all you want is a simple alarm clock. But the primary attraction for me was the Auto Set - which meant I shouldn't have to fiddle with it at all & I should be able to rely on having accuracy. This isn't true. Unfortunately, I have to withdraw my recommendation for this product.

The first thing I will say is that this thing freaked me out when I plugged it in. The time was set - It was new as it had plastic all over it, but the battery must keep the time saved. The other thing is that you will see what I saw at 1:39am when I woke up the first night I had this on my nightstand - it is VERY clear. The weird thing is the brightness is an analog dial control - like the old volume knobs - but the rest of the clock is VERY digital. It is actually nice since you can really "DIAL" in the brightness setting :-) Pun definitely intended.FYI - mine came with a factory alarm set for 7:00am. Changing the alarm is fairly simple, I have yet to look at the instruction manual because it's pretty straightforward. But the noise is not obnoxious and a pretty decent volume level.The size is a good - not too big for a good sized display and it fits nicely on my stand without looking like clutter. The value for the price is very good, excellent purchase!

It is supposed to be an auto set clock, it isn't. As soon as I plugged it in the time showed 12:00 just like any other regular clock. I bought this clock specifically for the autoset feature, that is in the title! It's not an autoset clock, it's a preset clock, I will include a photo of instruction manual where it says the time is set during production, but if you remove the 3v battery, the "autoset" time will be lost. If it were truly an autoset clock, at most all you need to reset is the date and timezone, not the actual time, as you do for this particular clock. This clock was supposed to replace my autoset clock that the display went out in, so I know how they're supposed to work. I have already started the return and will be buying a real autoset clock. It's also a lot smaller than it looks like in the pictures (photo included below). I hope this review helps the people that are looking for an autoset clock. I do not blame the seller, they may not know that the brand is false advertising. They also are letting me return it, so I have no bad feelings towards them.

I just received the clock and it’s exactly as pictured and as stated. When I plugged it in it automatically showed the correct date and time. It is preset for the alarm at 7 AM. so you need to disable it or change the time if you don’t want to be awakened early! I like the fact that it dims as low as you want it or as bright as you want it. I also like that the USB ports are at the back of the clock because I leave my charging cord for my phone plugged in and it’s out-of-the-way at the back of the clock. HOWEVER, although it does have the two USB ports as advertised, if you are planning on leaving your clock plugged in, which I do, one of the USB ports is needed for that plug. This is the reason I reduced my rating to 4 Stars.
