This tool works great to start the charcoal. For me is the perfect size and shape, super easy to use. Rapid heating element makes the coals ready quickly. No fuel smell or flavor residual.

This works well for starting the charcoal in my big green egg. I am careful not to leave it in too long so the handle does not melt. It does start the charcoal quickly and safely.

I had my doubts it works really well I just can't believe it 10 minutes and I got a fire in my wood stove excellent product

It does a fine job getting a good sized footprint of lump charcoal going in a short amount of time. Compared to those wax/oil impregnated cardboard squares, this works faster and is easier. The cardboard squares sometimes get smothered by positioning the coals during fire building or burn out before coals are going. Compared to my grill blazer torch thing, maybe not as fast to get the coals going but each time I need to use the grill blazer, I have to retrieve it from storage and connect it to a 20lb propane tank. It is a PITA to connect and grill blazer discourages leaving it connected. I do not leave it laying around exposed to elements for how much it costs and fear damage so don’t just chuck it with all the other grill stuff you accumulate when you have 4 different Kamado Joe grills. Ever since I got the electric starter, I haven’t used any other method of starting the coals. It is easy and cheap. The one irritating thing is the length of the cord. IMO, it is way too short for probably a majority of users as who is going to have an outlet within 4 feet of a charcoal grill? You will likely need an extension cord.

For years we have used a kettle style grill and always used an electric starter. When I downsized to a table top model I was concerned the straight starter I owned would not conform to the smaller sized bowl. It worked like a charm ! My son who inherited my full sized kettle grill also used it and it was also a good fit there too. So it was a win ... win ... all the way around

This product makes starting a bbq grill with an ease. Fast starter with no hassle or issues of requiring lighter fluid. For all bbq people who love to use a grill without propane, this is a must have product to making grilling easy.

There needs to be a more pronounced angle between the handle and the element to keep the plastic from melting. Would not purchase again.

I’ve used a number of things to start my charcoal. Have used a chimneys starter., newspaper the paper from the Charcoal bag. I stopped using lighter fluid many many years ago. This is the best yet!! Within 10 to 12 minutes your charcoal is ready to go. The short cord did not bother me. I used my outdoor 50 foot extension cord. I used to have an electric lawnmower so I have quite a few of those cords lying around. Great product I am very pleased.

Love it will never go back to barbecue fluid to start my barbecue it heats up fast

Con este ya no se requiere de ningún líquido, ni de estar soplando o haciendo aire para que prenda el carbón. Tampoco tienes que esperar mucho tiempo ya que en 10 minutos está lista la parrilla.

Très bon produit, chauffe super bien, j’aime la largeur qui permet d’étendre le charbon sur une plus grande surface. Le petit clip pour accrocher le bruleur sur le rebord du b.b.q. pour le refroidissement est très utile. Je recommande ce produit.
