First of all this is the new version of the HS720 and the "G" is for Gimbal which makes the camera stable regardless of wind or drone position. The purchased through Amazon was a breeze and the included coupons made the purchase outstanding. It arrived well packed and intact and the presentation was splendid. At first sight the Copter looks and feels as described and seems to be developed with better quality materials, the color scheme looks better than its predecessor and with the Gimbal the videos and pictures look very clear and in 4k. This drone is good for the beginner as well as the moderate pilots out there. After flying and using all the functions: follow me, return to home button, GPS and altitude hold, this quadcopter (drone) is amazing. Did I say the Photo and video quality rocks!!! Specially if you purchase individually a 128G SD Card. (Not Included) This is not my 1st quadcopter, I had many other older models from racers to first generation gimble camera attachments, large quadcopters heavy 1st generation ones and let me tell you as small as it is and for the price WAAAAOOOO! what a purchase. The only downside is that does not come with propeller guards and only comes with 1 battery, but you can get the prop guards here on Amazon I belive for around 13 bucks, something that Holy Stone might want to upgrade, but so far the all functions work as intended, the gps hold is working splendid and the copter does as it was designed to do. The app "Ophelia Fly" works perfect and keeps the drone flying flawlessly. The weight of this drone is 370 Grams, so you need to register it with the FAA (check the FAA website for any updates on drone flying). You may want to check the HS175D (215 Grams) if you are looking for a lighter drone and their latest version without a gimbal, smaller and best yet no need to register. HS720G Pro's 1. This is Holy Stones new creation and its awesome. I took three flights already and I'm just amazed at what you get for the money. The controller is real easy to use and connects to the drone automatically and fast. The drones response to the controller is great with no lag like some other drones that I've had. I flew it in windy conditions and this thing performed perfectly in the lowest speed setting. It comes with a power bank and 2 smart batteries, a nice carrying case and everything you need to get up in the air. Now, for the best part, the camera on this drone is simply amazing! I can't say enough about the quality of this camera. It's a 3 axis gimbal and the picture quality and video quality is the best that I've ever seen. Trust me, you'll be impressed. Great drone for beginners and experienced pilots. I love it!

We've had a lot of drones for kids over the years, none last more than a day of flying. It would go out of range and be gone forever. My older son has been nervous to try drones after those experiences but decide to give this one a shot. My son did what he always does with new drones, fly it way out of range until it disconnected. We started to track it from the last video images, when it suddenly came back online. It had activated a feature called "Return to Home" which made the drone return to it's take off point from a very high altitude. Amazing! No more lost drone! I am not a highly experienced operator, but this is a huge step up for us. It is amazing to see the difference between a less pricey option and this model. The features are significantly more advanced and the range is much longer. The stability of the device is also much better, even with a lot of wind it adjusted itself to stay in a one place. If you are looking to move into a more professional but manageable drone option, this is a great way to it.

This drone is very well designed and packaged. After downloading the application to my phone and charging the battery (drone and adding batteries to the controller) it was ready to go. There are a number of great YouTube videos that make it very easy to do initial set up in configuration and preparing to fly. I connected to the drone to the phone application, set everything to beginner mode, and a few other very simple settings hit the start button and launch button and it was off into the sky. The GPS setting on the controller makes it very easy to keep track of the drone and to fly it at a low, initial level, take photographs, pan around, go up and down and so on and so forth. One of the most impressive aspects of the drone is how stable it is even in moderate winds. The drone never struggled to hold its position, and even when rising or dropping in elevation by using the controller, it was very stable, and this was evidenced by the quality of the video streaming back to the phone. When it came time to land, I simply pressed the return to home button, the drone immediately rose to the pre-set height ( to clear trees in the area) and navigated to within 1 foot of its original launching point. Very impressive! The video quality is absolutely 4K and the photos are also very high resolution. Super pleased. When finished with the drone, it’s very easy to fold up the arms and propellers and the controller and put it back into the really nice carrying case that comes with the drone from the company. The battery held power in the drone for well over 20 minutes and plenty of reserve power left (remembering that when it gets too low, the drone will automatically return to home and then shut down before depleting the battery power). The drone battery takes a bit of time to charge but not excessive. Bottom line, this is a great first drone, and although others may recommend starting out with something a bit more rudimentary, this was a breeze to fly for somebody who would never flown a drone before. 5 Stars!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Drone never had a good flight and constantly lagged or had to load live video. Would never begin to believe it could fly at the distance it is stated to be capable of. Drone completely lost signal about 1,000 ft away and the “return home” function did not work. I filed a claim with Asurion and it did not meet the requirements for a claim (I’m not sure why). Now I’m out $400 and left with the junk that this drone came with. My gut told me to purchase a DJI and that’s what I’ll be doing now. This product is not worth even considering! Waste of money!

After doing a lot of research online for a quality drone under $500, I settled on this one...and I was not disappointed! The carrying case alone was a welcome feature; great for travel and pretty smart looking as well. The drome handles pretty much as advertised. It isn't as steady in the wind as I'd hoped but overall it holds position pretty well. The instructions for setup and initial flight were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I've only taken it up once so far but I'm pretty pleased. The camera seems to take excellent photos (I included the one I took with the drone being about 100ft up and 100 ft away from me). My first attempt at using the "follow me" mode was unsuccessful but that may have been pilot error. The point of interest feature worked as described, it will take some practice to get it to circle around a specific point you are interested in filming. The battery life is right around where it is described but will of course depend on what you're doing and the flying conditions (although it would have been nice if there were two batteries included instead of one). The only thing that kept me from giving it a full five stars was the second time I tested out the return home feature, it started to fly off in the other direction so I had to quickly shut it down. Overall a great drone for the price, I would recommend picking one up if you're looking for a quality drone with good features under $500.

Great Camera, Solid Performance – Some App Issues I've tested 11 Holy Stone drones, and the HS790 stands out for its impressive 4K video (3840x2160) and stable flight. The camera quality is better than the HS900 or HS600D, and it handles well—even in wind—reaching speeds of ~28 MPH. Flight modes like "Follow Me" and "Tap to Fly" work well, though you can't customize distances, and "AI Night Mode" adds little. Battery life is shorter than claimed (~10 mins in Sport Mode), and the app is buggy unless you use the older HT FLY version. FPV lags slightly and the gimbal struggles during fast turns, but performs well for slow shots. Includes 2 batteries, charger, and all accessories. Not under 250g, but has built-in RID. Great for beginners or upgrading from older HS models.

I got this product as part of a lightning deal so I paid only $209.00 for this latest version of the drone. I read some reviews and everyone seems to think that this is a solid purchase and solid drone model. I received the drone and after registering it with the FAA and getting a suitable location to fly from using the B4UFLY app I took it up for the maiden flight. I have flown various drones including a non-GPS-enabled sport drone and I have to say the experience was awesome. The drone is very responsive. It is easy to set up and go through the calibration process for the initial flight. I used it in Beginner mode just till I got acclimated to the distances and heights for Return to Home at Beginner. Then I started to play with extending the ranges. I have a video that I took that goes with the image of a school close by the park I took off from. I would totally recommend this drone for someone that is looking to make the jump to a quality GPS-enabled drone with a gimble as the drone does take some very smooth video. Being the first flight I didn't push it to the limits yet but I can see already that this is one I am going to have a lot of fun with I would highly recommend this HS720G to anyone. It even comes in a cool carrying case to transport the drone, controller, spare props, battery and I purchased a landing pad which also fits in the case. My next purchase will be an additional battery so I can fly for extended periods but 20-26 on a single battery is not bad at all.

I've flown drones for MANY MANY YEARS, here is what I have to say for anyone considering a HS720G PROS: - Excellent Battery life, lasts me between 21-23 minutes depending on flight conditions like wind and altitude. (Enough to film my grandma walking to school :)) - like LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOOSE DRONE, has all the features found on higher end drones such as return to home, automatic landing button as well as automatically returning if controller disconnects/battery dies. (Trust me its a great feeling to take off without any doubt of your drone shooting off into the sky! And it will return to you if it somehow does) - Phone holder for controller is a little gimmicky, but suits most of my larger phones in their cases - The app is great for beginners with plenty of tutorials for the common interface. The controller telemetry is quite helpful as well. App lets me set a height limit to suit flying laws (Tells you range, battery life, number of satellites/GPS Strength, etc.) - The Gimbal gives extremely stable footage compared to other drones - Stable flight with accurate GPS, even has optical flow for indoors where there isn't as much GPS strength. - The case it comes in is truly premium to the touch. Unlike some other drones, this one has everything you need to takeoff in one place making it neat for travel/camping with friends CONS: - The video feed is great at up to 200-300 meters, then starts cutting out, my solution is to just use a Micro SD card (located on side of drone) for higher quality footage - Comes with one battery, will need to purchase more on amazon for double the fun! - Battery takes a little long to charge, but again it lasts for over 20 minutes and you can always buy more - The gimbal on the HS720G is 2-axis, meaning it doesn't insulate the 3rd axis (yaw) movement with the drone. - I'm sure lots of people would be willing to pay a slightly higher price to add the obstacle avoidance feature, one that would save me countless heartbreaks of needing to refit the spare propellors (Supplied with the drone) - I wish they sold additional accessories specifically for this drone such as remote release payload (obviously for really light objects), extendable landing gears, UV/ND Filters for different environmental lighting conditions, etc Otherwise, the drone is pretty rugged and has great capabilities. Despite lacking some of those extra features from a more professional standpoint, I would absolutely recommend it for those wanting to get started with drone photography, videography, or even just improving their drone movement dynamics. ...From a beginners/Intermediate standpoint, this is THE MOST FUN DRONE you'll ever have with the low irrefutable price its sold at. I am very impressed with this drone, the video/photo quality is great. Video stability is excellent. Hovers nicely, when the wind picks up it is very quiet twitchy but the drone does a decent job with stabilising itself. Maiden flight was great, charging up the battery for a longer run. Very cool drone and the price good for this type of drone

This drone does not work as advertised and is just a garbage product. When it goes rogue and wont respond when flying, i warn you dont get close to this thing as it could take your eye out! When the drone hits an obsticle of crashes the props just keep spinning and i physically had to pick it up while operating to remove the battery to turn it off.

Easy setup, very straight forward. Haven't used it much yet but seems stable and does as advertised. Image stabilisation is great and good image quality. Feature packed.
