CERNIT Polymer Paste, Translucent White, 500g

Cernit is a polymer clay with a variety of uses. The translucent nature of this clay opens all kinds of creative possibilities. To me, the translucency of the clay is superior to some of the other brands such as Sculpey. Cernit is on the higher end of the quality scale and is well worth the price. It is easier to condition than a lot of the other polyclay brands and manages to keep its translucency despite extended working. It bakes well, sands well, and makes sure your end product looks professionally made. This particular seller provided the exact product that was advertised, it fit their description, was fairly priced, and was delivered in a timely manner. The oldest crumbled hard-as-a-brick clay ever! I've used cernit many times before so I know how to condition this type of clay and how hard it is supposed to be. Even after running a piece through my pasta machine several times it was a crumbled disaster. I even used clay softener and it's clearly just old, old clay. Probably was sitting around in a warehouse since years ago. No thanks!

Definitely gets pliable quickly. So far I’m happy with my creations using this clay. If it’s becoming too pliable I simply pop it in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes then get back to it.

I love this clay for projects I will light from with in. It works so well. I find it a little hard to work with. Warm it up well and used gloves to keep it clean.

I use cernit clay a lot for my business and have bought from this business in the past. But the clay I just received is almost unusable. It’s very hard and dry and just crumbles when cut. It will take a lot of extra time and work to get it back to a decent condition just to use it. I don’t have a local drop box to send it back and to receive my money or a new Clay I have to send this one back and that’s going to cost me time I don’t have.

The clay was super soft and easy to work with. It’s definitely a learning curve to get it off the work space after I cut my shapes out but once you get it, it’s amazing.

Cernot translucent looks so great in the end but the beginning is hard. It crumbles and, even after conditioning by hand or roller, still never seems to soften. I love how translucent it is after baking so I'm going to keep finding ways to make conditioning easier...

This Clay makes stunning jewellery, you can achieve coloured effects by adding a little ink. Easy to mould, and fast to bake as well
