Our method for this brew was very DIY. Take 2 cups of coffee grounds, dump into 60oz. mason jar, fill with water tigether lid and shake up jar. Let stand for 24 hours, empty into French press to remove grounds.I bought this Bocha brew kit because I thought we'd get a better pot of coffee, and so we wouldn't have to destroy our coworker's French press. So far, it only seems like it'd be good for the latter, and I haven't tested it on that yet.Take a look at the picture I provided. Do you see why BOCHA opts to use a half-filled jug in their photos? It's because they know that they screwed up on this version of the brew kit. That narrow opening at top that barely fits the cylinder with the grounds means that very, VERY little water is steeping into, oh, about 3/4 of the grounds you put into the pot. Here's a picture of the jug when it's been filled to manufacturer instructions. Look at that thin, impotent brew right there. Think about all those wasted grounds contributing next to nothing to the finished product. Using the same store-bought coffee grounds, I paid $29.99 to get a machine that produces a cup of cold, coffee-like substance that is markedly weaker than the coffee produced in a mason jar.I could maybe just use this for filtering grounds and storing coffee in the fridge it if it was airtight, but it can't even do that right. The spigot's up just low enough, and the stopper's just tiny enough that the seal doesn't form with the cylinder out of the container. I put some water in the pitcher, and put the stopper in, because I wanted to shake it up and give it a nice thorough rinse. I inverted the pitcher, water came streaming out of the spout. Fail.The manufacturer needs to widen the neck so that more water is pulling caffeine and flavor from the grounds from the top of the pitcher. They should also make the stopper taller, so that it's actually airtight, instead of just "kind of airtight." Really, really disappointed with this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice design and great tasting Cold Brew *by H***. on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2017* The design is very impressive and definitely something I would want to showcase when I have guest over. It looks like an expensive piece of glassware with nice curves and a sleek stainless steel infuser inside. The instructions were very easy to follow and it only took me a few minutes to set up and then store it in the refrigerator. I ended up keeping it in there for 16 hours and then removed the infuser with the coffee grounds. The infuser has very fine holes so there were no grounds that escaped into the brew but there were tiny bits of coffee particles that I noticed in the cold brew which sunk to the bottom of the glass so it did not bother me. Just make sure you don’t pour it into your cup when you get to the bottom. The final result was very smooth and refreshing cold brew coffee, perfect for the summer.I also like that it makes a nice amount of cold brew. It's a much more useful size than the Mr. Coffee brewer that is getting donated. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... different coffee devices and this is by far my favorite! The glass pitcher and metal filter is sleek and minimal. The design looks great and functions better. The metal filter has fine holes which keeps all the coffee grounds in but still allows them to be soaked. I used a coarse grind size and stirred the grounds in the infuser occasionally (2-3 times) while it was brewing. After 20 hours I removed the coffee grounds and the end result was delicious smooth tasting cold brew coffee. I highly recommend this item to cold brew coffee lovers.
