Just received the Frigidaire WF2CB comparable refrigerator water-filter-3 pack. A real bargain when considering the cost imposed by Frigidaire for just one filter item. Installation was a snap and presented a totally smooth insertion fit. (see attached pictures) It’s been 5-days already with no leaks and none are now expected. The comparable filters list that they are good for about 300 gallons of water or 6 months whatever comes first. The taste of my water most definitely now shows a discernable quality of a difference. Wow! Savings? No more buying “purified” bottled water. The way things are going I will leave the comparable filter installed for about 4-months making this 3-pack essentially lasting a full year. I kept my old original Frigidaire filter and will after 4-months ‘cut-open’ both filter tubing elements to see the insides and how much actual sediment, etc was caught between the original and the comparable filter. I am very pleased at this time to say the least and having made the purchase and a jump to the comparable product. FYI: The (2) pictures below show the actual look of the 'comparable filter' as installed and then the tops of both filters with the original Frigidaire being on the bottom. This is a highly recommended buy!

Good replacement

I have a 13-year-old fridge and although I'd bought filter replacements for years from Lowes, I turned to Amazon when they stopped carrying these older filter models. I ordered one - fit exactly like the original at about 1/2 the price, so the next order was for two, etc... you see where this is going. I will never again buy filters from a store or appliance manufacturer. Highly recommend this particular filter but it was counterintuitive to put in the first time and again the second as I forgot what I'd learned 6 months before. No matter how you think it goes in - flip it over if it doesn't slide right into place. Duh. I'll remember this next time because I have a 'This Side Up' note on the package! Note: no change in taste or sediment noticed in our household - in fact, water pressure has been better with this replacement model. The initial batch of ice and 6 cups of water are tossed out to clear the tubing of any deposits; I change the filter on a recommended basis so there is never any 'black water' as some have reported and very little sediment in the water after a filter change with this model

Perfect. Fits and works... follow instructions regarding flushing. Not unlike Britta...

Product was almost perfect for my fridge, but wouldn't go all the way in. Everything looked good but the 2 half circle plastic pieces in the middle were not big enough to straddle the 2 springs inside the fridge. Assume those springs open the water supply. Went out to the garage and found the perfect size drill bit that fit into those holes on the old filter (new filter was indeed smaller). Gently used a drill and the drill bit to widen the holes on the new filter (just a little). Took it back to the fridge popped it in. Perfection.. fit like a glove and water is now clean again. Highly recommended, but may need to modify slightly, so it loses one star for that. Can't beat getting 3 of these filters for the price of 1 OEM filter
