Very nice finish and weight, came with adaptor for old standard valve
This is a very nice, heavy chrome faucet handle, with a light escutcheon- I updated an old chateau faucet with a standard moen valve (no pressure equalization) and it fit perfectly. Not clear in the description is that it came with the brass adapter required to fit a moentrol trim kit to a standard valve, so I had ordered the adapter seperately and then didn’t need it. The reason for the adapter is that this kit and any for newer valves will have screw holes in the 1:30/7:30 positions instead of two at the same level toward the bottom such as with many 30-60 year old morn valves. Depth is important- where the plumber installed the valve will matter. If it sticks out a lot from the wall, this handle will stick out. The escutcheon mounts based on the wall- the handle mounts to the valve, and therefore the valve determines how far it will protrude. With the old lucite moen chateau kit, it looks fine protruding, but maybe not so much with kits like this. In the shower I installed this in, it looks fine- in the other bathroom, which valve protrudes by more than an inch, it would look ridiculous. For older standard valves, this is a nice upgrade if the valve doesn’t protrude too much. The old lucite helps mask protruding, this will not.

Great update to an old shower control valve.
I updated my old master walk in shower with a Grohe rain shower systems. I didn’t feel like devoting the extra DIY time or paying the extra money to to have a plumber change out the control since it was merely a finish issue. Everything else is in good working order. This was a perfect update to an old Moentrol shower valve that makes it all come together. Sure someone may notice a different valve and shower system at some point, but my wife is very pleased. It was extremely easy to replace to old with the new...highly recommended.

Very nice trim kit but.....
This is a very good quality Moentrol trim kit. It is very classy looking. I love the way it looks. We replaced an old push/pull trim kit. We have the original 30+ year old valve so we ran into a couple of issues. The stop tube barely fit. My husband forced it on and it won't come off. Hopefully we won't have to take it off for another 10+ years. Thankfully we replaced the cartridge as well. You have to reverse the hot and cold on the cartridge if you're used to changing the temperature from a top handle. This handle is on the bottom. I read that we needed the adapter for this trim kit. The screws would not screw into the holes in the adapter. It would get tight once it was in about 1/8 of an inch. We ended up using different screws. Otherwise we are very happy with it. I read a review about the handle sticking out too far, not the case with ours. The handle doesn't jiggle, it's very snug. Make sure to put in that tiny metal washer.

Modern and sleek
Great looking shower valve trim. I needed a specific Moen model in order to be able to replace my existing shower valve. After searching several sites, of course I found it on Amazon. Delivered within a day, and my Plummer installed it easily. Looks amazing and works perfectly.

Great
If you have the old pull to turn on moentrol knob then this is for you. Update the look without getting a low flow new piece of junk. Keep the high flow and get a modern look with this one. You may need the valve adapter that some other reviewers mentioned. I needed it on one shower but not the other.

Dimensional interference and Not worth the money
I needed to shave and file down the plastic adapter in order to allow it to rotate without rubbing against the stop tube. The handle sticks out too much exposing the stop tube as well. Definitely is not worth the price.

Looks AWESOME!
WOW, I can't stop staring at this trim kit for my Moentrol shower valve! I had a different trim plate installed for the past 10 years, and have been quite happy with it, but when I saw this one on Amazon, it matches my cabinet pulls and the style of my bathroom faucets much better than my prior trim kit! Looks so classy and cool, only minor issue I've noticed is that water spots (hard water in So Cal) show up on this, unless I wipe it dry after taking a shower. Since this looks so cool, I feel like I need to keep it clean and spotless. I plan to get another one of these to install in my guest bathroom!

I’m hating Moen now…. Never again
My home was built in 95 and on the high end value spectrum so I update with quality finishes . This is my last bath that hasn’t been entirely renovated and it has moen standard and old crappy trim. I’ve been struggling with replacing just the handle for 3 months. After trying a crappy kit from Danco, I started buying pieces to get the modern brushed nickel ascetic. I couldn’t make that happen. So I bought this and a converter piece. The converter piece flat out didn’t work (screw holes don’t align for this ). And so i went back to the standard escheshon I had bought and just this handle . But the handle sticks out too far and slips (doesn’t stay in place) . So 3 months she $300, still no working solution meaning major plumbing and construction required to get rid of moen trim valve. Seriously Moen !!!

My only complaint is the price. The selection is very limited for Moentrol valves if you don’t plan to change it to a posi-temp. So the price is what I will pay. I originally wanted to get a valve trim set but that’s okay. The valve is a pull out and then adjust the temperature back and forth style handle. The quality of the valve trim is good and it’s super easy to adjust. Everything was very simple to install that I didn’t need to use the instructions. Overall, this valve trim is way better then the plastic handle that I had that looked like it was from the 90s

Expensive. Fingerprints from install do not come off

Needed a moentrol assembly so this fit the bill. Not happy about the cost as the exact model in chrome was 60% cheaper. I needed brushed nickel.

I replaced the trim kit for my stand-up shower. I was fortunate to replace it without tearing down the hardware inside the walls. I'm thankful Moen kept the grooves in tact for jobs like this. Thank you Moen

If your old escutcheon has a deep recess, you will have to move your valve unit forward by ~3/4" or add an extension to the valve knob shaft. I cut the tip off an old cartridge and used a cut off screw to join them. Another option is to use a longer screw with a couple stop nuts. Aside from that, it looks and performs well. Got it from Warehouse with a nice discount.
