What type of material do these pieces stick to?

They 'stick' to a felt board. Amazon has Educational Insights Quick Stick Instant Flannel Board which is the same kind I use in my classroom. My grand babies also have this set, and they do NOT use a flannel board. We lay the pieces out on the floor or a table for them to arrange as we read the story. This set perfectly matches the book. You can use it with or without a flannel board.

Is the board book included?

No, the one I received only came with the felt figures. FYI after nearly 2 years of use in a sped classroom they still look like they did when I received them. Great purchase 👍🏻

How big are these felt pieces?

They are about 7 inches. Big enough for three and four year olds to manipulate on the felt board.
