Bird B Gone Reflect-a-Bird, Wind-Powered Reflective Spinning Scare Device

I have done everything to keep Bird Droppings off of my plane... Forget Ultra Sonic... Our birds are already deaf... I have tried everything imaginable except shooting them, but the airport frowns on Firearms. This item actually works. it has been now been months since my plane has been targeted... The Planes close to me have not been bombarded either! I purchased a second and put on the other side of the plane... The wind ALWAYS blows at my airport, so that is not an issue... Good Ridden to the Birds! I did not want to drill into airport structure and I may want to move it some what to keep the birds off balance... I used small C-Clamps that I got from Lowes and that works great. Note the images and Video! - After using for sometime now, About 6 months, it has greatly helped... But when there isn't much wind/breeze they tend to show up anyway... I now have 2 of them... Add 1 and problem returned... Going to take one down to see if 2 was just too much. Follow up on this.. With the 2nd one installed (1 on the each side of the plane)... No MORE Birds within 3 Parking spots either way!

What's more annoying than some dopey bird pecking at your roof at 6:00 AM? No longer do I find myself outside squirting the little twerp with a hose to drive him off. This is particularly true of the lovely desert woodpeckers that poke holes in anything that's stationary for more than 3 seconds. I bought this item with little hope that it would work. To my surprise, it does! Now... for it to work, it has to move as woodpeckers, apparently, don't seem to like shiny moving things. When the air movement ceases, the effectiveness drops. Since we live in the desert Southwest, flat roofs are common and there are few places to affix these to where they would catch the breeze. My solution was to mount it in proximity to the air stream of the fan on our roof mounted heat pump. When it's running, the reflector rotates... which is what deters the little twerps in the early morning hours as the heat pump is either running to heat or cool at that time of day. The rest of the day, it's breezy enough for the reflector to spin on it's own. Oddly, spooking the woodies has also reduced their desire to destroy our orange crop... a nice side benefit. Now, if only I could find something to chase off those dopey Mourning Doves that use the entire world as their toilet.....

First, the pieces do not fit together well. Second, it doesn't work to scare away seagulls. I set it up, and within five minutes, a seagull plopped down next to it and left its regards.

Been effective in reducing the number of sparrows landing on the balcony handrails, reducing the amount of bird droppings. Unit is very durable and hopefully a long term investment. Suggest moving the unit around to find the best bird repelling area before permanent screw attachment. It needs to be close to where the birds land.

This has to have wind to spin. If it's not spinning wood peckers don't care about this and will peck. I have observed both windy conditions and not windy. I will say, woodpeckers do not like it when this is spinning.

Shocked how this actually keeps the birds away from our deck. We had a serious problem with bird poo on the corners of our deck. No longer an issue! Money well spent!

This spinner is the only thing I have found to stop woodpeckers from hammering on my house and 4 of the neighbors' homes, as well. Bought clear weatherproof Gorilla Glue and glued the metal base of the spinner to a 12 inch by 12 inch ceramic tile and put up on my patio roof. Such a great relief from the noise and worry of the possible damage to our home. Previous home, a woodpecker hammered a hole in our patio roof. I have spent some money purchasing the teardrop shape reflectors, a roll of flashing tape, bird spikes to put in gutters, etc. Nothing completely stopped the woodpeckers, until I put up this spinner! Have seen businesses with these on their roofs, but did not know what they were called or where they bought them from. When searching Amazon, I accidentally stumbled across this spinner. While I thought it a bit pricey, decided I had to have it. Best purchase ever if dealing with woodpeckers or anything else, that shiny movements will scare off!

Never pay more than £15 for this! I paid £77 thinking it will be of use and last forever. It didn't even come with a pole to mount it on. The only metal bits are the base and the 20cm bit connecting base with the plastic top rotating assembly. Avoid!
