We live in a 3-bed semi-detached property, and upstairs gets absolutely baking during hot weather. I put this Homcom unit upstairs in an 8x8 meter room, and it has been a total blessing. It cools the main room down incredibly quickly, but it’s so powerful that it actually helps cool down the other rooms upstairs as well! It has been an absolute lifesaver recently while we've been decorating, painting walls, and stripping floors—it kept us perfectly comfortable the whole time. To make it work with my outward-opening window, I also bought the MOEGFY AC Window Seal (Universal 400cm kit for £15.99). It works perfectly and completely stops the hot air from the exhaust pipe from sneaking back inside. I have attached photos and a video showing the machine running on the different modes—including Dehumidifier (df), Fan, and Air Conditioner settings—so you can hear exactly how loud the unit gets on each level. Like any powerful A/C, there is some noise, but for how fast and effectively it clears the heat, it is 100% worth it. Doet wat het moet doen! Eenvoudige installatie, goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Ik heb zelf best lang onderzoek gedaan naar een goede raamafdichting - deze is in ieder geval prima.
