Water Systems Screw-On Caps for Water Cooler/Dispenser Plastic Jugs, 48mm Bottle Lids

Measuring the size of water bottle mouths can be tricky. Purchased the 53 mm caps—a tad too big. Ordered these 48mm caps—they fit perfectly on our 3 and 5 gallon generic looking bottles!! For now there is no leaking. Nice to have caps for all of our bottles. Nice quality, secure fitting, just like the caps that came with the bottles originally. Made in USA! Highly recommend these caps and the vendor! Interesting that these are $.50 more than the larger caps.

These caps worked perfectly. The pictures provided by the seller are misleading though. They show a bottle WITHOUT a threaded top. Several of the unhappy reviewers appear to have been mislead by this. These caps will only fit bottles with threaded tops like the picture I attached. I have two Primo brand bottles purchased at Walmart. These bottles are $15! One fell out of the car and broke the lid. So 5 bucks for three lids seems like a bargain to me.

Because nobody sells replacement caps for 5 gallon water jugs and you can't just go hauling 5 gallon jugs without lids.

I searched long and hard for a lid to replace an ice cube bottle that we use when driving in our RV. We have used this great device for a dozen years. There are no available replacement bottles that work as well, so I really wanted to find a new lid (the old one broke). We measured so carefully in ordering, but this simply did not fit. However, we were refunded our purchase price in returning it.

Based on another reviewed, I assumed the standard size for water bottle caps was 48mm. I ordered these, received the caps in two days but unfortunately the caps were too small. I measured the bottle opening and it appeared to be at 51mm. I contacted the seller and they responded in just minutes and informed me they would ship out the 53" lids the next day!. I received the 53" lids three days later and they fit perfectly. Note on my water bottle. The dispenser is a GE model the water bottle is a 5 gallon nestle (ones you buy at the orange store). Of course do not take my word for it - measure your bottle before ordering. 5 stars for seller service alone. The lid is well a lid but does it job.

I ordered these 3 replacement lids because we lost 2 originals and a third one was damaged. I carefully measured the neck of the bottles as described in the Amazon ad, ordered them and received them in 2 days. As you can see, they look and fit like the original ones. A much better solution than the aluminum foil we were using instead. I expect a long time of service for these lids, as they are ruggedly made, lined with a good seal inside, and fit tightly. The price was also very modest for something so critical.

48mm cap was exactly as described with a liner. The cap itself was about 20% thinner than the one that originally came with the bottle. The paper liner was just that, thin paper. My original caps had a thicker foam liner. While these caps may do the job they are not nearly as good as the original cap that came with my bottle. Extra care will be needed to make sure they area screwed on good because they are not as deep, and a tighter seal may be required with the paper liner. For the price I expected the quality to be a bit better, but if they were deeper and had a foam liner I would have no issue paying more money for the extra quality.
