1510 Carry On Case (without foam)

Fantastic, durable, sizable, carry-on case. Always keeps my tools safe and protected while traveling. I fly a lot for work and never had any issues traveling with it. Great for my tools.

Great size and durability.

Awesome quality. Perfect for carry on. This is definitely a "buy once; cry once" purchase. Used for multiple trips both domestically and internationally with no issues. Ability to put heavy duty locks is a huge plus.

Heavy duty. Works as expected. I got this to use as a carry on so I don’t need to check a bag. It’s great for a weekend trip or overnighter. If you’re looking to pack a weeks worth of clothes I’d go larger. I easily got my hygiene bag, shorts, pants and a few shirts, undies and socks

I bought this case while looking to replace a "national-named case that no longer supports its lifetime guarantee" (business travelers will know which company that is, but it rhymes with Rumi). I wanted safe, waterproof, rugged, and able to fit into almost any overhead. This was IT! I highly recommend the optional lid organizer. I installed that using some heavy-duty Velcro from Home Depot, and it came out great. The wheels are loud and clunky. However, you can replace them easily with rollerblade wheels and they would be SMOOTH as silk! Only last concern is, at least one airline (Delta) seems to think that, because it's a Pelican case, it needs special handling. I spent 45 minutes in Atlanta one day trying to find where my bag went, as the baggage people said "Belt 7" but the baggage handlers had it sequestered in a corner way in the back because it was a "special case." So be prepared for some bad customer service should you decide to check it... but if you DO check it, your stuff will be snug and dry no matter what the weather!

As usual a great pelican product. I use this as a tool box with a tool roll, klien canvas bags, and the lid organizer. I added the skate wheels as well for a better roll on all surfaces, it makes a big difference.

I love it's solid construction and space, it definitely needs dehumidifier packs to avoid moisture trapped and mold or rusting if in a humid environment. Definitely spend the little bit extra for the foam in it otherwise trying to find foam that's a good fit later can be difficult.

This is a superb case - strong, well built, long lasting, roomy and easy to handle. I highly recommend this over other go-to brands. Unlike other "top-of-the-line" brands of carry-on luggage, this will survive baggage-handling abuse and just about any other kind of abuse as well. It locks securely and easily with a standard Master combo lock, or a TSA lock, if you need to check it through. Once again, I give Pelican engineers an A+

Five months later, +75 flight segments for +46,000 flight miles, ... even Montreal baggage handlers haven't been able to break anything on this yet. I pack hard hat, extra shoes and work clothes for 4-10 days in this. It fits into the overhead on a Dash Q-400 and anything bigger. Best feature, if I check or gate check the case, I lock it with REAL Master Paddle locks. (yes you can ... TSA rules need to be understood). I will change the wheels eventually for softer poly wheels (see youtube). I did get the lid organizer which serves to keep small stuff organized like extra batteries, toiletries etc. Updated 2017-04-21: I changed the wheels on the case just after Christmas. BIG difference. Rolls more quietly. A must do improvement. Still no problems after almost a year. I do ALWAYS lock it with MasterLocks though. Because of the "look", baggage handlers just can't help but try to have a peek inside, ... even when it is only Gate Checked. Update 2020-02-21: The bearing gave out last year (road salt) but J. at Pelican customer service had new ones sent within a few days - Just a reminder to lube the bearings properly occassionally. This week a latch cracked in -35 degree temps and J once again had replacements sent right away. Some may think the price of the bag is high, … but a lifetime garantie save money in the long run.
