I had expected it to be a lot thicker and gel-like. It can be quite annoying to have it seep between your fingers before you get it on your head. The coal tar scent doesn't linger too long, as I give my hair a thorough rinse and put in a conditioner that overtakes the scent anyway. Overall, I like it. First, which is arguably the most important, is that it doesn’t stink. Like at ALL. You may smell a bit when washing (and that's a maybe), but thay typcial coal tar smell you get with other shampoos after getting out of the shower will not be there. Even when your hair is dry, you will not be able to tell you used a coal tar shampoo. Two, the shampoo actually helps your scalp. It works well, though if your condition is severe you may need additional help with other meds. Make sure you use a bottle that will distribute it directly to your scalp, then lather and leave on for several minutes. I use a bottle that has the pointy thing at the end and put the shampoo in there. Three, it's makes your hair look beautiful! Or is it just me? I just got done telling my husband that this is the best looking my hair has looked in a long time and it's all thanks to this shampoo. Not the expensive ones you buy at Sephora. Four, my hair doesn't get oily quickly after using this. Huge plus!
