Amazing Ice Cream Maker Attachment – Delicious Homemade Treats!
I recently added the KITCHOOD Ice Cream Maker Attachment to my KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and it has been a fantastic purchase. This 2-quart frozen dessert maker has transformed my kitchen into an ice cream parlor, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Pros: Easy to Use: Attaching it to my KitchenAid mixer was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I was making ice cream in no time. Delicious Results: It makes great ice cream with a smooth and creamy texture. My family loves the homemade flavors we've created. Large Capacity: The 2-quart size is perfect for family gatherings or parties, providing ample servings for everyone. Versatile Recipes: From classic vanilla to adventurous flavors like mango sorbet and chocolate fudge brownie, this attachment handles them all flawlessly. Easy to Clean: The components are easy to disassemble and clean, which makes the entire process enjoyable from start to finish. Cons: Pre-Freezing Required: The bowl needs to be frozen for at least 15 hours before use, so a bit of planning ahead is necessary. I solved this by storing the bowl in the freezer, so it's always ready to go. Freezer Space: The bowl is sizable, so it does take up a fair amount of freezer space. Overall Impression: The KITCHOOD Ice Cream Maker Attachment is a must-have for any KitchenAid Stand Mixer owner who loves ice cream. It has allowed me to experiment with different flavors and ingredients, ensuring that I know exactly what's going into my desserts. The joy of making homemade ice cream that's both delicious and free from unnecessary additives is unparalleled. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their homemade dessert game. It's fun, easy to use, and produces fantastic results every time!

Works very well
Works well. I have tried several other models from Amazon and the well-known "W" store we all have in out neighborhoods. The bowl for this one works a lot better than the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Machine, 2-Quart Ice Cream maker bowl (model ICE30BCP1 - also from Amazon). Although the Cuisinart has lasted years and was 'gifted' to one of our kids that just moved out. We have had a KitchenAid for decades, and will continue to use it for various things, including now ice cream.

works as advertised
I gave this 4 stars because it works best if you can freeze the bowl in a deep freezer. I suppose if your kitchen freezer was set to the coldest it would be the same. We wrap towel around the bowl to help insulate it while the ice cream is mixing. All the parts are well machined and fit snugly / correctly on our KitchenAid mixer.

Best purchase of the summer
I wanted the KitchenAid ice-cream attachment but it doesn't ship to my country and is not available at the local store. So I decided to try the Kitchood attachment after reading many reviews to ensure that I selected the best alternative. I am very happy with my purchase! At first, it was a little tricky to learn how to adjust the attachment to the mixer. But we were able to find some videos on YouTube that were very helpful. We have already used it four or five times, making delicious ice creams. See here our mango ice cream recipe churning in the frozen bowl. The ice cream turns out soft but churned enough to continue being creamy, even after being in the freezer. I think the price, was definitely worth it, and I hope that with enough care we will be able to keep this gadget in good shape for a long time.

Freezing bowl doesn't stay cold enough to freeze contents.
I followed instructions, but after 45 minutes in churning the freezing bowl, the ice cream was still not frozen, not even thickened. I poured the ice cream into a freezer container, put it in the deep freeze and stirred by hand every hour for four hours, so the added added strawberries would not all settle to the bottom, and it froze perfectly. I put the bowl in the deep freeze for 48 hours before starting to make the ice cream. It seems like the bowl does not stay freezing cold long enough to freeze the ice cream. I was not satisfied with it at all. Maybe would help if there was a lid over the bowl to help keep the cold contained in the freezing bowl.

Ice Cream Maker
Fits the KitchenAid stand mixer perfectly. The mixing paddle takes a little adjusting to seat it correctly, but when you get it, you're good to go for the whole batch. Freezes great, but you need to keep it in the back of an upright or leave it in a deep freeze for it to freeze properly. Makes great ice cream.

I am having so much fun with this
Have made: Rocky Road, "Death by Chocolate", Strawberry, Vanilla. Very easy to use and like that I don't need to make a space for another electric item on my limited counter space. I already have the Kitchen Aid out on the counter (too heavy to move it to another storage area). This item has a hub that attaches to the mixer (where one would normally attach the beater). You store the 'bowl' portion in your freezer for 24 hours, mix up your ice cream 'base' and refrigerate that. max amount of liquid is about 6 or possibly 8 cups. After making one batch not certain you could make a second one right away. recipe books contains instructions for ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and sherbet. When ready to churn, place the 'bowl' where you normally have your mixing bowl, place the 'dasher' in the bowl, drop the mixer "head" with the "hub" onto the dasher, turn on low speed (1 or 2), and slowly pour in your ice cream base. Run mixer for about 20 minutes; ice cream is consistency of 'soft serve'. Scrape ice cream into covered storage container and continue to freeze for several hours. Yum
