It comprises short chapters - enough for every week of the summer recess - and makes "learning" and "practice" fun. Review: Great books! - Great supplementary books for homeschool education. They donโt actually teach the course- thatโs up to you. But theyโre fun and engaging and a great supplement to your program. My son loves these and they have stickers and fun exercises, too! Great summer workbook to keep skills sharp!
My daughter just finished the first week, and weโre really impressed so far! It has a nice, thorough mix of subjects: math, reading comprehension, social studies, and more. Itโs laid out in a way that feels doable and not overwhelming, which is perfect for summer. She actually looks forward to doing a page or two each day (with a little encouragement ๐), and I love knowing sheโs keeping her brain active before 3rd grade starts. Definitely a great tool for summer learning!

Challenging and rewarding
Being a covid year, my 8 and 10 year old grandkids didnt have the opportunity to finish the school year, so I bought these books for them to do during the summer. We found them to be challenging and difficult, requiring a great deal of instructional support and encouragement for them to get through the levels. They are NOT aligned with common core standards at all. That being said, the educational value is great- it keeps them thinking and problem solving, and gives me just what I need to pull them away from video games. They love the idea of earning stickers to put on the charts, however it would be more satisfying if the stickers were bigger and more colorful. We started on August 1st- there's no way they'll finish the books before school starts. However I feel that doing as much as we can will give them a considerable head start. I will most likely order them again next year.

Nice
This was recommended by the 2nd grade teacher for during summer activities. I have not let my daughter go through this yet, but since it was recommended by a school teacher, I am sure this is a great book to keep kids busy and stay active after school or during summer off

Summer prep for next grade!
I wanted to share with you a book that has been a hit in my household this summer! I recently got this summer book for my daughter who is entering 3rd grade, and it has truly sparked excitement for learning during the summer break. Despite initial reservations about keeping up with school work during the summer, this book has made learning fun and engaging for my daughter. She now eagerly looks forward to her summer school time, thanks to the interactive content of the book. One of the highlights of the book is a sticker map that helps track progress, making the learning experience enjoyable and rewarding for kids. It's amazing how such simple elements can make a big difference! I highly recommend this book for parents looking to make learning engaging and enjoyable for their children during the summer break.

So far, so good
This year math was a major struggle for us. So to (hopefully) avoid the โsummer slideโ, I purchased this to maybe bridge the gap between spring and fall. The stickers have so far been a big motivator. We aim for 2-4 pages a day with the goal to complete the book by the time summer wraps up. The top of the page has the directions for that lesson and at the bottom is a hint that directly relates to that page. We are going on 4 days and while the first page was a struggle (math problems) we got through it and so far we havenโt had any more issues. Each activity is a bit different and some more fun than others. Not much dry content as you would typically expect with school related workbooks. UPDATE โ maybe itโs just mine but the binding came apart!? The front and back cover along with the map are intact but the whole middle is now a separate book lol itโs whatever, we still use it. We still love to activities and learning lessons, weโve just got double the fun now ๐คฃ

Love these for summer break!
My kids love the Brain Quest summer workbooks because theyโre quick activities and they get stickers! Itโs the perfect size for summer break. The kids do a spread or two each day, outdoor quests or side quests when theyโre ready, and itโs always finished by the end of summer. The sticker chart is fun because they can see their progress.

Lots of reading which is good
Lots of reading and heavy on Western / North American characters and stories if your child is not famiiat (ex: raised in Europe) then may need to explain some characters to keep child engaged

Great
Exciting for kids. They also gameify the process, so it hooks them into the material.
