Not the best wheels. They didn't hold up for very long. Had them only a couple months before they broke

This was used for my drive thru double gate that is 12 feet wide.

Great product gives good support to prevent sagging and makes it much easier to open and close. Definitely recommend it.

You need to clamp the wheel up and tie off with a tie down, mount the wheel to gate and then cut the tie and it has worked so far great

Delivered in a very nondescript box, the weight was a giveaway for the contents. These wheels are made of heavy material. The frame is steel, as is everything else except the wheels themselves. The wheels are plastic, and are actually 5 inches. The plastic is solid and not likely to ever break. No instructions were sent, but there isn't much to installing these. In my case, the 3 1/2" bolts were entirely too short for the existing frame (8" thick), so I needed to install a support specifically for this caster. The spring seems to be plenty strong enough to handle this behemoth of a door, even after its complete. An added bonus that I wasn't expecting, is that the castors have a friction lock on them. This is a nice touch for a door or gate that may experience high winds. It isn't as good as a drop bar, but is certainly helpful. There are 2 castor frames, two castors, and 2 sets of bolts, nuts, and washers. I would recommend an extra washer for under the head of the bolt, as the bolts are somewhat smaller than the holes in the mounting frame. For the side that will be in contact with the wood of the door or gate, I would suggest some slightly larger washers, as these seem very lightweight given what the rest of the system can handle. Not an absolute requirement, but a suggestion if your installation is very heavy.

Definitely not rated for 270 pounds. We have 10 5/4 boards with 2 2x4s extending 8' and its not doing much without that handy handle, so you need a strong back to lift it and push it while bent over.

Un peu lache

Had these on my driveway gates I put up about 2 months ago. They have probably 20 lbs of pressure on them, the rest is on the hinges. Just recently one of the springs decided it didn’t want to do its job anymore. They’re also starting to rust pretty good and it hasn’t even been very wet, maybe rained 3 times. Probably better suited for the lightest of duty indoor use. Good thing they’re cheap I guess. My gates look wonky now that one is 2” higher than the other. UPDATE: The swivel bearing has completely failed now making it jam up and near impossible to move the gate. If the seller would like to make this right with a replacement that would be great, if not I’ll find another brand to do the job. These are lucky if they support 20lbs for any duration. Absolute garbage. Don’t buy them.
