Win/win. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So Useful, Not Sure How I Managed Without *by M***S on September 1, 2020* This item was recommended by Consumer Reports. I wish I had had one sooner, to be honest. I grill once or twice a week and have a permanent, outdoor grilling station with stone work surfaces. The grill is stainless steel with stainless steel side trays on each side. The trays would get very messy with oil, BBQ sauce and other messy items as I grilled. I would use paper towels to try to keep the mess down but they would either blow away or get too messy very quickly. Now I put this mat down and I can rest tongs, brushes and other tools on it without worrying about the mess. It seems to be fairly resistant to heat and still looks new, after a solid month of use. Clean up is easy - you can either wash by hand or just toss in the dishwasher, which it is rated for. It can hold water though if you lay it flat in the dishwasher so works better if you can lay it so the water can drain off.
