Has anyone had any experience with it? How to feed etc.** A: This is meant more for Spring and Fall because it has protein in it will encourage the queen to lay eggs and the hive to be more active. I do not recommend it for winter feeding, because your hive may be too active. **Q: How long will it keep fresh after opening the container?** A: I have never really measured the time. I have 8-10 hives and go thru 2 -3 of these from June through Dec (depending on the weather). The girls love it. I open feed in a couple of 2' x 4 or 5" pvc pipes lashed to my bear fence. The bees roll around in it and fly back to their hives looking like yellow ghost bees. There is no fighting and I am sure I am feeding a lot of feral bees. I live in a remote mountain area and there are no other beekeepers for miles. If you have other beekeepers around you I am sure you will be feeding their bees. Works great and the bees have a head start for spring. **Q: bees dont seem to like this any help?** A: The only time bees don’t feed on it is when there is plenty of fresh pollen available, trees plants etc; my bees love in open feeder in heat of summer and on warm fall and winter days:; bottom line leave it out for them in dry feeder and they will eat it when they need it **Q: Why 20 dollars more here than on Mann Lake web site?** A: I purchased this product on September 10, 2019 at a cost of $43.22 which was $11.27 higher then Mann Lake. Mann Lake's shipping charges compared to the free shipping I receive from Amazon made the deal work out about even for me.
