This has been a truly invaluable addition to my portable lighting setup. I can't really oversell this light; the fact that it provides ~500 full power shots per charge, has super fast recycle times, and provides the flexibility of both a bare bulb and high output flash head in one compact body is pretty spectacular. That it does all those things with an internal li-ion battery for $300 is nothing short of astounding. Likewise, its ability to provide high speed sync (HSS) has made it so easy to get good-looking wide open aperture shots with flash during full daylight. (It really is quite feature rich.)In any case, I've been very pleased using this light. My first outing with it was actually for a prom photo booth; I mixed this light with another lower-output flash for some easy dramatic lighting (30 inch beauty dish with shower cap diffuser) and it performed like a champ for well over 300 shots without the battery indicator even dipping. Granted, shots ranged from 1/16 to 1/4 power, but I've also used it for outdoor shooting at 1/1 and the battery life is still pretty robust; I haven't yet pushed it to 500 full power shots, but it doesn't sound at all far fetched given what I've experienced thus far. Additionally, the lack of battery cables and the more compact form factor (vs. something like the older Godox AD180/360) make this light a dream to set up. One small gripe I have (and it's very small) is that its thickness makes it a bit of a squeeze to get this light into a Bowens mount. That said, it does fit, just with a little more finessing than I'd like.Overall, there's not much to complain about. The overwhelmingly positive reviews on YouTube for this light totally make sense, and every location portrait photographer should be pleased with the capability and performance this flash offers.Now if Godox could just provide a flash trigger with HSS support that works for Fuji and Olympus so I could stop jerry-rigging trigger solutions I'd really be psyched!

This Flash is built like a tank! I have done many on location photoshoots and my stand has fallen over, and nothing has stopped it. This is a repeat buy, because i love the flash so much. It's the perfect size for traveling and in studio shoots. The functionality of it is super easy. I can easily adjust settings to compensate for my camera settings. The battery life seems to last forever, but I still keep a spare battery just in case I forget to recharge it. I added a fun photo of my cat to show the lighting and photo quality from inside my apartment.

I liked the easy to use functionality of the flash, the interchangeable flash head adapters and and it's size. Cons of the device are the Godox AD200 does not have the small little slots that secure tripod mount securely to device like in the AD200 Pro. It can seem a little shaky when mounting and please don't try to over-tighten the screw trying to make sure it's secure on the tripod or you may cause damage. I purchased the AD200 before I purchased the AD200 Pro so I was unaware that the AD200 Pro had made the subtle change to the mount. These flashes work great in tandem and since I'm a professional photographer these two power-house flashes have become my new travel companions. Also must mention that if you shoot outdoors in daylight you will be in for a thrill once you reach into the high speed sync functions of this flash.. Simply amazing..

I have been using a Godox AD600, which I love, but it is quite heavy, along with 2 speedlights for Real Estate Photography. The speedlights, a Canon 580 EX ii, and a Godox TT600 worked great, but they sure knew how to eat batteries. I would typically get one house from each set of batteries on the speedlights. I shot for several hours with the AD200's and barely used any battery. I like the size, especially compared to the AD600. Don't get me wrong, the AD600 is fantastic when there are really high ceilings, or lots of dark woods, but a lot of the time it is overkill, and the AD200's work great in most homes. I shoot flambient in most of the homes I do, and the ETTL is great. I find in smaller rooms than a STU is very helpful, and the AD200's came with a tripod mount that also holds the STU's very well. The ease of use, with the Godox X1 trigger system is great. I will probably upgrade to the X2 this year to allow Bluetooth control, but in the 2 years I have been using the Godox systems I have been very happy with them.

I am a professional photographer and although I have not many years of experience, I can say that I have worked with some brands of lights. This flash has been so great and I am so happy to have it. It does have some problems, but lets start with the good things:1. The portability is so good, its not so heavy (even with the battery) and it has a beautiful case2. It has two flash heads that can easily give you different light3. The battery is so good, it last forever (have not been able to tell you how many shots at full power though)4. Great modifiers that are sold separately5. If you have other Godox products with wifi capabilities, you have a beautiful ecosystem6. Great price for the product that it is7. Digital display is easy to read and it has a back light that can be turn on or offThis product does have its problems, and I will try to put some of them here:1. The Godox support and troubleshooting is not good, even the user manual is incomplete. I had a problem where I bought a X1C-T Wireless Remote Flash Transmitter (same brand) and the flash didn't sync with the transmitter. The problem was a configuration (very hidden) that it was not specified in the manual. Before I could make it work, I sent them an email asking what could be the problem and it has not been answered. Also, even though I tried to find out about my problem in the internet (youtube, google, etc), I could not find anything about it. I was lucky to fix it.2. It does not work with Youngnuo RF-603 triggers. I assumed that it was usable with any trigger because it does have a miniplug slave connector, but I was wrong. At the moment I connected the plug to the flash, the triggers stopped working. You do need to have a Godox trigger (or at least, it seems that way, I have not tried other brands)3. Even though I really don't mind, the product is plastic and it does seem a little fragile, if that is a problem for you (specially the included bracket), then maybe consider other brands, but it will be expensive.4. Additional configuration is a little hidden, and like I said in the first point, the manual is not complete, so you will not find all the options that the flash has.5. Although this problem is easily fixable, the flash has a turn off timer, and if the flash shuts down, it won't start with the trigger, you will have to turn off and on the flash switch.

Love my new flash, purchased it to replace my canon 600EX flash as my main softbox flash when I do outdoor photo sessions, I highly recommend this flash if it is your first Godox flash, although I could have purchased an AD200 Pro, I did not feel the small upgrades were worth the big price jump. I am happy with this flash as my starter flash and perhaps my next flash will be the AD200 Pro to use as the main flash and the AD200 as a hair light or secondary flash.Contrary to what I have used in the past during photo sessions and what I know about strobe flashes and steady bare bulb light setups, this Godox flash has a model light, but it is not used with the bare bulb as I am used to, instead, the strobe flash uses the model light and not the bare bulb, not a deal-breaker but something different I was not expecting as all the bare bulb flashes I've used for wedding photography in the past had an integrated model light filament surrounding the flash filament of the bare bulb.One thing that is not advertised that I was pleasantly surprised is that it has a treaded external connector for a trigger on the side, meaning, although it is recommended you purchase a Godox trigger for your camera to sync directly to the AD200, I purchased the Godox XPro-C E-TTL so I can control everything directly from the trigger on the camera without messing with the menus of the flash, you can use your own triggers like a pocket wizard or in my case a Yongnuo 622C TTL Flash Trigger I was using previously with my studio flashes when doing indoor photo sessions and my 600Ex when I did outdoor sessions, if you already have triggers for other flashes, it is easy to integrate and use those flashes in conjunction with the AD200 if you wanted, albeit without the control you would have with a Godox trigger.Highly recommend this flash!

Helt underbar liten blixt.Jag har två stycken och de fungerar helt fantastiskt.Batterietiden är helt galen egentligen. Nu kör jag sällan på 100% men det går ta väldigt många bilder.Det finns gott om ljusformare till dessa blixtar och det är ett nöje att använda dom.

I was using Odin before, then I switch my complete OCF system to Godox. This Godox system is so versatile. I use it with the XPro-N, i can setup the AD200 Pro right out of box easily. The modular design allows me to switch to H200R and the bare bulb easily. It actually impressed me a lot how easy to work with it. Just imagine that i dont have to deal with all the AA batteries (4 for Nikon speedlight with 2 for each Odin). For a 3 speedlight setup, including the master remote it's a total of 20 AA batteries!!!! Now with Godox, only 2 AA for XProN, and the rest are 1 battery per AD200/300/400 flash. A++

These are the third model of flash unit I have sourced from Godox. Like the AD360 and AD600 units before them, they offer high value technical innovations at very reasonable cost. My other Godox systems have proven reliable in use across two years, and I am expecting th same performance from the AD200s. Shot to shot colour consistency is within acceptable margins at the lower output levels I tend to use. I haven't checked above half power, yet. The battery is surprisingly good. I shot 600 frames, yesterday, between 1/128th and 1/64th power output, and the battery reported one third of its power remained available. I have two units, with one as a back up, and I shall buy extra batteries as these become available. If the AD200 units prove as reliable as the other Godox products, they'll become a classic, due to their brilliant portability and flexibility, combined with their excellent price point. If you already own Godox kit, the 200s offer even more economy by allowing the use of your existing modifiers and triggers. TTL and HSS work simply and reliably, using the X1 triggers, although HSS isn't something I would turn to the AD200 for, due to its modest poŵer output and the heat issues likely with its ultra compact design. The units are supplied in hard shell nylon cases, providing good protection. But my one niggle, here, is that the small swivel and tilt assemblies, necessary to fit the heads to stands, seem to be slotted in as an afterthought, with the potential to rattle around and strike the Pyrex dome of the bare-bulb. I have removed the swivel assemblies, and now keep them with the small lighting stands in a separate bag. All in all, the AD200 seems to be as good as I'd hoped. If it stands up to use, I will buy a third unit. My very first flash head was a clunky 200 watt seconds monolite, bought in 1981, for about the same price as the AD200, and still in working order. It is huge and inflexible, compared to anything in the Godox ranges. We've come a long way. Respect to Godox and their innovative design team.
